Have you figured out what seems to be the fastest settings in Iron infested sites? as far as recovery speed... Thanks for any input ... realy like your coin program.
Do seem to get good depth with this.. being that the Disc is at 25? Hence using the 5khz to make up the difference? I tried this program works well but am hunting an old school thats been hot pretty hard.... looking for the old silver.. thanks.

Have you had issues with 'falsing' in trash or crusted up zinc pennies? I'd hate to notch out the mid sixties.. just about fed-up with digging those evil zinc's. what's your approach?
I dont have the detector anymore. You could always leave the zinc pennies notched in and just ignore them if you want. If you get a deeper zinc signal it may be worth checking out as some good targets do fall into that realm.
This Impact machine looks like just what I want... I noticed on some forum... I was reading comments about it... someone said that Nokta maybe had plans to make a water proof one too.. kinda like competition for the AT Pro. Have you heard anything like that?
Would the nokta run perhaps better if the Frequency was 14 or 20 kHz as stated in the book? So many new whistles with this machine, its alot different than my broken etrac. Any help is much appreciated :) Nice video
I think it weighs just over 4 lbs. I have not weighed mine on a postal scale. Just going by what is advertised. Tom D says he was only getting around 5 hours out of a set of batteries using the deep 5k mode. A bit longer in the other modes. I use rechargeable and was just recharging them after every hunt so I am not sure how long they would last in other modes. What kind of test do you want to see on the jewelry?

the notch.. can you except & reject any notch where a target hits... above your decrimination. like say... I wanted to come on up to where a square tab would hit... and notch out that..?
yes you can notch out a single id if wish. if you wanted to knock out a pull tab that came in at say 34 you could just reject 34. On the other hand if I wanted to open up a small window for nickels which hit at 29-30 it seems to work a lot better if you open up from around 26 to 33. In the same way

Craig is a good guy......It has been a long time since I had this detector but I do not believe these settings will affect the depth.

I just know what I read on the forums. I do believe they are working on a waterproof unit too.

I think it would depend on your ground mineralization somewhat also. The 14KHZ would probably be a better all around frequency.
If its ok, I will test it tomorrow and then come back here with my prognosis? :)

It is similar in some modes but the impact has a lot of features that racer dont.
