WOW, I dfidn't expect to find a video on the Casio 1000P!!! I got mine out of a cupboard while clearing up. Only thing wrong was the speaker the foam had disintegrated. Hadn't been plugged in for over 30 years but worked first time. Ordered a new foam ring and hope to have it back together in a few days. Many, many thanks from an 80 year old retired Radio and Electronics Engineer.
Great vid seeing the insides of such a great keyboard. Agree with egoshredder.... I've spent thousand of hours watching fix it videos on RUclips. I always look forward to your videos and would be thrilled to see you digging into more random musical electronics once in a while. Happy new years guys! Best of luck for the new year👍
well timed vid, I'm repairing one of these at the moment! Oddly the power supply board has positions for 2 X 0.022uf caps, but only one is populated, the service manual only lists 1 being necessary. The board might have been used in other Casios where 2 were needed? I do have a Casiotone 202 which has 3! Looking forward to 1000P part 3.
" It's alive " Nice and clear video, lucky it was an easy looking repair. Can I ask where you ordered the parts from? I have a local component shop near me but not sure if they stock or can obtain certain things. Thank you for an interesting upload. Happy New Year 🍾🎉🎇
A lot of our parts in the uk come from rapid electronics, cpc , eBay and farnell. Have managed to get a replacement speaker foam which we will be looking at in the next video.
The repair videos are my favourite kind.
Got to attempt the speaker fix next should be interesting!
