This is so ironic, I took a long sabbatical from modeling, so long known of these techniques were available, I was thinking today how do I learn these new techniques? And hear your video pops up. I can hit the craft shop and get some paints and start practicing on some of my old " paint mules" . Thanks for sharing.

Really enjoyed the tutorial. Do you have another on doing chipped paint on panel edges like on the Hellcat that is briefly shown in this video?

How long should you wait to spray a potential for coat to seal everything up or to matte coat?

No specific time frame. It depends on what other weathering techniques I plan to apply. If I plan to do some chipping or streaks with oil paints, I will leave the gloss coat. I usually do a matt coat when I want to use weathering powders and color pencils as they need some texture to bit into.
