Last time I was this early, Japan still had a navy...
they still have it, having 2 CV atm
Black Snow prior too and during the course of ww2 I’m fairly certain japan had around 20 carriers, all of different classes of course, most were fairly small and used for training etc. the two modern carriers you refer too, Kaga and Izumo I must say are very nice ships, whilst fairly small compared to nimitz class carriers they tend to serve as small helicopter carriers however I’m fairly certain their are plans in place to equip them with F-35 VTOL aircraft giving drastically improving their offensive capabilities, but I am not certain and could be wrong. Either way I was just trying to pump out a fast somewhat comedic comment. So not much thought was put into it... anyway, good day.

@@oceanicbloom1407 the retrofit plan for the Izumo-class ships will include the addition of ski-jumps for capability to operate 12 STOVL F-35B each. Hope Australia too will follow on with their Canberra-class ships. Though both classes would still have way lesser capabilities compared to the US Navy's Wasp/America-class ships

no its because By the end of the war, my planes and guns had downed 911 enemy planes, sunk 71 ships, and damaged or destroyed 192 more. the damaged and destroyed bit referring to things that didn't sink because well they were either being built or in ports too shallow to sink

I spot the DD, drop the torp, one torp somehow kill the DD, other torp sail straight toward smoke and kill the BB. It was a double strike with 1 torp drop. I really hope i got my replay back then

Man those detonations! I play CV a lot (few rounds a day) and I had detonations very rarely maybe 4-5 times in the year after the CV rework.
Well the is because he is patching together a lot of games to give the illusion CVs kill everything first attack wave
David still man, I played already 2k battles on reworked cvs for the last year and only 4-5 detonations. And those replay seem to be maximum 5-6 months old (cause AA mechanic was changed on 0.8.7 which was on last summer).

Why play something that requires actual skill when you can abuse a broken class and make the game not fun for anyone else involved? Then you make a self-congratulatory video and pat yourself on the back because of how cool you are. CV players are so sad...

I could, but then I got accused of nitpicking my clips to make "DDs are fine and CV may stay the way they are" so really, why bother? Don't get me wrong, the main reason I showcase this video is because CV is just that _different_ to the point where you simply don't care about everything around it anymore.
@@aijokallen6669 this may be inaccurate as it also contains stats from earlier patches but when you look at yuro's stats at tier 8, average damage wise the enterprise is his best ship.
We may argue that because yuro is a super unicum player that his stats don't reflect the entire playerbase. Then let's look at the stats. Among the 27 tier8 tech tree ships, the 3 CVs place 5th, 6th and 7th in average damage and average exp. Average winrate is meaningless because the winrate of every class is 50%.
Looking at the stats of the top 50%, the tech tree CVs have an average damage of 73k(US), 71k(IJN), 68k(RN). The tech tree BBs are all under 70k with the exception of vladivostock at 74k. All the cruisers are all under 65k and the destroyers are all under 50k avg dmg.
Looking at the stats of the top 10%, lexington has 94k, shokaku has 89k and implacable has 85k. All the tech tree BBs are under 89k avg dmg. Tech tree cruisers are all under 81k and tech tree destroyer are all under 64k avg dmg.
While these contain pre nerf stats(I don't know how to get recent stats), it is clear that CVs are broken for the average player and the good player in terms of damage.

To be completely fair tho.. WoT xmas crates actually worth their money,since you always get the gold value equal to money to spend,plus,chance to get neato tanks,a rather high chance. While in WoWs.. well,you have a small chance to get a neato ship,and it's never a guarantee to get your money's worth,plus out of a crate you get only one thing,while in WoT it's at least money's worth plus sweets. But WoT has it's own problem,which is artillery and HE ammo...

To be honest here. For better or worse, depend on the people you ask, the rework at least curb one of the most dangerous aspect of RTS style CV: Intelligent gathering.
If anyone have ever play RTS, especially competitive field ( Star Craft one perhaps?), one of the most important skill, beside the ability to use multiple order as the same time, is *intelligent gathering* . And to do that, you need *map control* : Using multiple, basic unit to scout around the map, spotting resource map, discover enemy secondary base, or ride into the enemy main base to see what he's up to through his build order. An RTS player who have no map control whatsoever will lose the match 99% of the time. ;)

WG did mention this in one of their explanatory videos. The RTS CV's insane ability of controlling the battlefield by being omnipresent is literally of the charts.

This is what I like to see in my games. Too many people who can't CV. They miss every drop and contribute nothing, I report them. They do damage, get kills, zone the enemy, etc, I compliment them, even if they're on the enemy team. I've been in BATTLESHIPS where the enemy CV could not even touch me with multiple TB and DB strikes. It's so sad.
6:55 I feel filthy just for watching and laughing my ass off at that. But seriously, when a tier 8 CV detonates a Yamato just by aiming below the turret it really shows that this game has some huge Balancing issues.
I mean, how do you think Hood got one shotted irl. Aim below turret with any torpedo or AP with enough pen and it damages or detonates ammo
@@jotafonso3310 Not unrealistic, but unbalanced as there is NO WAY in current game-meta to counter such a move. Where in reality you would have a CAP and move your fleet in the ocean as a whole unit with CAP, this is not how WoWs is played. What I don't know is how easy it is to perform this feat, as this is a compilation.
