I don't see a batsman who shows the fighting attitude and doesn't throw away his Wicket. Looks like They aren't Specialist Test Batters and such a Disastrous Batting Collapse. Just batting to consolidate a few runs in the back half. I don't think this is gonna help in Long term. India now realises the Worth of Pujara. The Art of Defence is something which we miss. They can score 300 in 2 session but not hold on to the innings for 2 days. Test cricket is about survival of the fittest and u have to consume the opponents time and Energy. That's what makes a Test Cricket Beautiful. And sorry to say this as seniors Rohit and Kohli shouldn't throw up ur wickets like this.
This is notable. Our elite players have left playing domestic cricket. They are reluctant to play with uncapped players which hamper their practice badly. 🤐
we use to have top hand players who plays spin well, but with the t20 mindset the bottom hand comes into play, which allowed a batter to play more of a stroke and less of a defence. you need skill over power in test cricket.
Two main reasons according to me why we lost: 1. Jadeja was not effective as he used to be. In fact, Santner was as effective as Jadeja of old where one ball will turn, another will be same line and length, but will be an arm ball. Indians lost most wickets due to ball not turning! 2. When ball sometimes turns, and sometimes not, the best shot to play is the sweep. Indian batting coach should give extensive practice to all batters on sweep and reverse sweeps before next match Also, India should stop going into a match with 5 bowlers. Most of the time, two of them will not perform. It's better to include an additional batsman. KL instead of Akash Deep would have made 'some' difference!

I think India is poor in defense, but good in attacking mode. Rohit, Gill, and Pant are not as good in defense as Vijay Rahane and Pujara. AB de Villiers is good in both attacking and defense, and Ben Stokes is also like that. The Indian team needs Pant and SSVto be good in attacking mode, but attacking mode alone does not work every time in test cricket. They need to have good defense as well.

I don't see a batsman who shows the fighting attitude and doesn't throw away his Wicket. Looks like They aren't Specialist Test Batters and such a Disastrous Batting Collapse. Just batting to consolidate a few runs in the back half. I don't think this is gonna help in Long term. India now realises the Worth of Pujara. The Art of Defence is something which we miss. They can score 300 in 2 session but not hold on to the innings for 2 days. Test cricket is about survival of the fittest and u have to consume the opponents time and Energy. That's what makes a Test Cricket Beautiful. And sorry to say this as seniors Rohit and Kohli shouldn't throw up ur wickets like this.

we use to have top hand players who plays spin well, but with the t20 mindset the bottom hand comes into play, which allowed a batter to play more of a stroke and less of a defence. you need skill over power in test cricket.

Two main reasons according to me why we lost:
1. Jadeja was not effective as he used to be. In fact, Santner was as effective as Jadeja of old where one ball will turn, another will be same line and length, but will be an arm ball. Indians lost most wickets due to ball not turning!
2. When ball sometimes turns, and sometimes not, the best shot to play is the sweep. Indian batting coach should give extensive practice to all batters on sweep and reverse sweeps before next match
Also, India should stop going into a match with 5 bowlers. Most of the time, two of them will not perform. It's better to include an additional batsman. KL instead of Akash Deep would have made 'some' difference!

It happens in sport. Atleast test matches are good not one sided as always. If test needs to strive both teams should have goid chances to win. Last time third string team beat australia in bgt in home condition. Now in march against west Indies debutant shemar Joseph took seven to win famous Victory in brisbane. Even Australia too lost to weaker team. We should not be too critical on india. One or other day winning steek has to end like in 2001 Australia continus 16 match ended in famous kolkatta test .that was most dominating side .

I think there was no problem with the playing 11. Jaiswal, Pant and Sarfaraz are attacking players. But what about seniors - rohit, virat, jadeja. Virat's performance in tests off late has been poor but no one questions it. Having said that like rohit said its okay to lose a series in 12 years. NZ played better cricket and showed better intent. They deserved to win so lets give them the credit.
In domestic many are playing attacking cricket in red ball cricket, for me only few are playing anchoring roles like indrajith, manish, Vihari, vijay shankar. Ani bro suggest more players to cheeka sir

I think India is poor in defense, but good in attacking mode. Rohit, Gill, and Pant are not as good in defense as Vijay Rahane and Pujara. AB de Villiers is good in both attacking and defense, and Ben Stokes is also like that. The Indian team needs Pant and SSVto be good in attacking mode, but attacking mode alone does not work every time in test cricket. They need to have good defense as well.
