I never liked Sebastian. I always thought he was a rat for snitching on Ariel. Although his voice reminded me of my late Godfather so I do have a small place in my heart for him.

I’m not a fan of Sebastian either, but this live action version of him looks promising
Sebastian wanted to protect Ariel being a naive little girl who threw herself in a dangerous situation. He also had a job to do given that he worked for the king.
