@C Summers Eh, being unsure about the accuracy of what you're about to say isn't the same as trying to bullshit someone. And much of the time that's what people are doing when they say "IIRC" or "I could be wrong". Not saying people don't bullshit, they absolutely do, but there's a completely non-malicious reason to use those sort of phrases.
Russell Dominic Peters (born September 29, 1970) is a Canadian stand-up comedian, actor, and producer. Peters was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on September 29, 1970 to immigrant Indian parents, both of mixed Anglo-Indian descent, Eric and Maureen Peters, who had moved to Canada in 1965 from Bombay, Maharashtra, Western India and Calcutta, West Bengal, East India respectively. Peters was raised Catholic. So, he's Canadian like me.
I understand what Mike was saying but Russ is the most worldly comic in the business. This man knows little idiosyncrasies about every culture on the planet. And he's a hip hop connoisseur who hangs around rap legends from the 80s and 90s.
Russell is one of my favs. He's massive internationally, but underrated in the USA, most likely because his comedy is really diverse and requires knowledge of different cultures.
or maybe Americans just don't like his humor? There are lot of comedians who have knowledge of different culture. he's just not that big here. It is what it is.
Clearly these guys haven't delved into one of the funniest comics who came down from Canada. Duh -- his whole deal is the fact he's Indian. They outta check out he stand up he did in India, esp. hilarious is watching the Indian reactors.
@@nancysexton4364 To their credit, I believe part of the "Reaction Genre" video thing is too not thoroughly research the person/topic/event/song/video or what have it prior to reviewing it so as to give an unbiased review of it. But as this isn't their first reaction to him I would have thought by now they would be a little more knowledgeable about him.
Rrrrrussell!! is one of my absolute favorites. And he's one of (if not The) biggest comedian in the world. His takes on cultures are great, but his stories about his dad are my favorite.
Most of our "Huge" comedians are only huge in the west and tour a handful of places elsewhere. Russell sells out in more places all over the world than anyone I can think of.
I second that. Some love for Mike who more often than not is the butt of the joke, takes it like a champ, and now and again drops a hilarious bomb himself. I feel like Mike is the glue guy here and without him this endeavor may fall apart.
Side note: I once spent an hour in Dubai chatting with the noted journalist Abdel bari Atwan (often does commentary on BBC shows, for example). He interviewed Saddam Hussein three times. According to Abdel, Saddam would always preface their interviews by saying, "Please tell the Americans I have no weapons of mass destruction". Peters' take is funnier.
His Russian Bit is also funny, Trevor Noah stole his joke and did it on his special. Caused some problems. He is big in North America. Originally from Toronto. He is East Indian. Calls himself Anglo Indian
He stole Gina Yashere and Mike Wilmot jokes. Trevor did similar jokes about accents in Caribbean, on his show behind the scenes skit. Russell stole actual jokes and then recorded them on TV. He is not a victim. If I said one lie prove me wrong. Comics talk about him on podcast all the time.
Why is he calling us Lebanese Arabs??!! We are genetically the Cannanite/Phoenicians, not arabs. Lebanon's native tongue is Syriac Aramaic till the year 1860. Even our modern language is based on aramaic. All foreigners still call us arabs 🙄
In the US when you hear "Listen, or Trust me" indicates bullshit is about to be told.

@C Summers yeah they're all full of shit, mostly🤣
Or;
"I'm not racist, but..."
(Or you just get the old, 'look over both shoulders, then lean in to whisper', move)
He is Indian/Canadian. He was once and maybe still is the highest earning comedian globally. He fills arenas/venues all over the world.
Russell Peter's introduced me to comedy and he still one of my favorites. Legend🔥
"Somebody gonna get a hurt" 😂 and he will! He's a certified bad ass!

Thanks Wikipedia
But... he also says he's Indian or Canadian-Indian.
Well he just also became American, He also lives in Los Angeles, California, and his second home is in Nevada. So he is American like me!
Russel is from Toronto Canada actually but yeah, Indian in terms of his ethnicity.
Facts. And in canada you encounter lots of different ethnicities there.
@@jayeell1253 Toronto is basically the NYC of Canada in terms of diversity but to a lesser extent.
Shhh.. we all know he's Canadian .... But let's not embarrass him..
@@willvr4 actually Toronto is the most diverse city in the world.

That mike 180 yell at the beginning was one of the awkwardest funniest thing I’ve ever seen

He's East Indian and spent years in #canada and grew up around of different cultures. Its why he's have all those different perspectives on everyone
I have a real bad habit of saying "turn left right there"
I forget where I saw it but he has a pretty good story about a trip to Jordan.
i think it was on a podcast with tom saguera.
and it was about his story with the king od Jordan
Hope you guys finish part 7 of priceless with katt williams
As far as sheer numbers of people who see him live, he is the biggest comedian ever. Every show is in an arena this size or bigger.
Check out his special, Red, White and Brown
You guys should check out Maz Jobrani’s work too, proper funny.

Russell Peters is so overrated it's just because he does that voice
I think his popularity comes from his deep insight to many cultures which makes him liked fairly universally worldwide.
