The themes of opiate addiction just make this video all the more meaningful. In the beginning when James struggles with the "friend and foe" word association it's because it's the painkillers (which are represented as gummy candy). Amber represents the high he feels and is the voice in his head telling him that he's perfect which makes him see her(the drug) as a friend. However, when he starts to look crazy in public and breaks the law, reality starts to sink in that she's also his foe (which makes him push her against the wall in anger). But he comes to this realization too late and is already addicted to her and ends up running around the streets to find her. And of course she's there to hug him, but only in his mind which is marred with addiction. Powerful stuff. BUT THAT'S JUST A THEORY! A FILM THEORY!😂 Great cinematography too btw 😃

My last committed relationship was with a man who had an addiction. I rode the rollercoaster with him. The twists turns highs lows tickles and tears. Just like Amber in the vid, I kept trying to tell him He was perfect. But I became his illusion. Like the ending of the vid, all I wanted to do was hold him, but I made the choice to leave. . . About less than a year later he passed away from brain cancer. . . To James and Amber, thank you.
This really hit me hard. It reminds me of my little brother who's suffering from schizophrenia. I wanna help him and be there for him no matter what. Like this video my brother is perfect to me.
