If someone has chance to meet Balaji Sakthivel just say him that Kalloori is not a bad film like he thinks. It actually has the most rewatchable value in his films. My mother's all time favourite film.

All his movies r truely good gem movies. He should proud himself.
I like Kaloori than Kathal. A good leader should take responsibility for a mistake rather than blaming others for which I appreciate Balaji Sakthivel, but he doesn't have to over blame himself as if he'd committed a huge blunder for audiences mistake of not accepting good movies like Samurai & Kalloori. Moreover the release dates of both the movies weren't good because Samurai was released the following year of Citizen release because of the delays in production & Kalloori was released without much publicity or promotions in the month where Billa 1 was released that too few weeks before. Both Aalayam & S Pictures had failed to plan proper release dates for those movies.
Kalloori actually had no flaws. Probably the best campus drama films of Tamil cinema.

Of course, yes. But, Balaji Sakthivel is under estimating Kalloori just because it didn't get the deserved reception during it's release time. But, Kalloori is 1 of the best movies based on college life & friendship.

Kalloori is one of the best movies in tamil cinema..If a movie is not commercially successful, it does not mean it is a bad movie or average movie..eg - Guna..it is a not a commerically sucessful movie..but later it went on to become one of the cult movies in tamil cinema..
