Hey friend… sorry, I do not know the answer to your question. I’m not aware of all the string types available. Perhaps ask on a bass forum like Reddit…?
@@DaveRucci it turns out that if the string has a taper at the bridge end, the manufacturers usually put a 'T' after the gauge to show it is a tapered string...
Forward - flat is an awesome way to remember that, thanks 👍 As for action, I've used cards for raising the nut after straightening the neck for the lowest action possible with little to no fretbuzz (which is probably not the best idea). Do you have suggestions for the best way to obtain the lowest action for a treble guitar with a floating bridge?
Interesting… actually I am planning on modifying my Washburn electric to set up as a floating tremolo. I’ve never done this so I have to research it. Will probably make a video of it in the next few months. Yea Forward Flat is a good little snappy thing for the brain to grab on to.
@@DaveRucci Do you mean like routing out a hole on a fixed bridge body? If so, I could give you measurements taken with a caliper off of a guitar with an original floyd rose setup (if it'll help). Hmu whenever on Instagram if you want - Nixon
Sounds like some great tips Dave, thanks...

Aren’t supposed to adjust the intonation with the guitar in the playing position?
Sounds like a better idea. I think it’ll only very marginally make a difference but depends on how picky you are.
I guess you’re right if being in tune is important to you indeed.😊
