Right. 😂😂😂 I was like steve... buddy lmao you should have brought flowers, wine AND the card 😂😂 and she MIGHT have not been so unhinged lol I love Morning Mimosa episode.
I understand why Marge and Lisa are the way they are. Linda is a terrific wife, mother, person. The Smiths are functional compared to the other MacFarlane families
I would really only call her the most best McFarlane mothers compared to Diana and Lois but she has more than a number of flaws that would make her a pretty flawed mother to some degree. Somedays she's very smothering and overly caring about Steve, sometimes she doesn't give a damn about him and she's pretty spiteful towards Hayley a vast majority of the time in the show. I think she's more or less excusable about it thought because again, compared to Lois Griffin, she's WAY more tolerable as a mother figure and it helps that she's a lot more well defined as a character in the show. It's tough to call her a GOOD mother but she's definitely the BEST mother out of Seth's shows bar none.
What about the episode where Haley is worried that inevitably she'll turn into her mother, only to realize that Jeff is actually a lot like Francine - so in a way, _she married her._ But in all seriousness; what sets Francine apart from Lois, Donna or any of Seth's other moms, is that Francine _actually cares about her children._ And that's really her flaw - she cares about them _a bit too much;_ especially Steve.
she's probably seth's best mother next to donna. she's not perfect, but unlike lois she honestly actually cares about her family. she doesn't use insecurity/the stress of raising an unstable family as an excuse for sabotaging the people around her.
I feel like Stan and Francine do the best they can, considering they’re Seth Macfarlane characters and both have incredibly traumatising pasts that they haven’t addressed. That’s not an excuse, of course, but there’s no excuse for much of what the Smith family unit as a whole do. They’re extremely functional for how dysfunctional they actually are.
Francine cares and yet doesn’t at the same time. She traveled across the world to the GAP sweatshop to save Steve and helps Hayley find her way in “blond ambition”. But she also doesn’t care. You give her a glass of wine and an activity and she forgets she has kids. Steve goes to hangout with his friends, Francine (with her new activity of training rats) says “why is he always telling me where he’s going?” And she always shits on Hailey’s dreams. Long story short Francine will do dramatic and extreme tasks to keep her family together but she doesn’t care if those in the family are actually happy
Yes and no, she’s not perfect but she’s a better mother than Lois, she at least doesn’t abuse her children on a regular basis like Lois does in the later seasons, but she has done some mean things to them like when she beat up Steve while pretending she wasn’t his mother, and she holds him back saying he won’t amount to much and no one will ever love him like she does.
Morning Mimosa is one of my favorate episodes of all time. All the jokes were funny throughout and it's very relatable. I wouldn't be caught dead cussing out my mother. That is how you get killed. LOL Also Steve was still able to make food in the house Francine just wouldn't do anything for him. Also, its an adult cartoon and this is mild compared to other things the characters have done.
Something that Francine has that Lois doesn't is love. You know that no matter how insane she can be, she loves her kids and her husband. She's not a pushover, but she's not cruel evil. She'd do everything and anything for her family, go to ends of the earth for them.
That Everybody Hates Chris episode is very similar to Morning Mimosa, and I also hate it. I think it’s a little different though because Chris was refusing to clean dishes he didn’t even dirty, and demanded respect. Whereas Steve absolutely disrespected his mother over a game. I gotta say your choice on the "matilda" joke was brilliant. I thought of it when you were reviewing the episode, completely forgot, then BAM. Great video
I have an American dad essay idea, the evolution of Deputy Director, bullock and principal Lewis, who, over the show, basically became either excuses for the voice actress to say crazy stuff to be sexual deviance, more criminal behavior, or a combination of the three, and that’s kind of the same thing for both of them

how could you skip my favorite american dad joke of all time? francine wakes up months after saving steve from the sweatshop and suddenly remembers she forgot matilda, then it cuts to matilda still working away on fabrics until she stops, ponders, and says "bitch" in reference to francine
and at least Francine isn’t on the levels of Rochelle Rock from the back talk episode of Everybody Hates Chris, she’s on the levels of Randy in that Freemium episode from South Park
unrelated but maybe something for the Stan video: In "The Vacation Goo" doesn't Stan just randomly drop the fact that the Goo "rots out your womb" to which Hailey worriedly touches her stomach.
Saw this video, instantly remembered the episode with Francine and Steve's breast milk shenanigans, instantly said out loud to myself "Francine Smith cannot be a good mother, right?"
It's not misogynistic to want to bake pies, enter a bake-off, or even to want to be like a 1950s homemaker. Believe it or not, some people find that kind of life fulfilling. It's also, by definition, not misogynistic to want a partner who is like a 1950s housewife.
There's also that episode where Stan and Francine feel like they failed at raising Hayley so they decide to give all the attention to Steve, but Stan was too strict and Francine too soft. So then Stan makes a clone of Steve so they could compete on who is the better parent. Steve’s clone goes well at school and sports while the original becomes rude, gross, fat and skips a lot of school. The clone later reveals he hates his life because Stan never lets him have fun so he tries to murder them, they managed to kill him and at the end they learn the best way to raise Steve is a balance between being stric and soft.
If you were looking for Hayley and Francine episodes you should have done the O’Rivals one where Francine teaches Hayley how to handle having a stupid husband
I’m pretty sure in the spelling, Kiko didn’t Misspell chrysanthemum on purpose. She got it wrong, Steve felt bad for her because of her mother, Francine, then told Steve the truth, he, then spelled his word wrong on purpose, then they started the loop.
I mean for Steve's punishment her not making any meals isn't bad. He was 14 and an honor student he couldv'e figured out how to make any type of edible dish
I got to disagree. Marge is the best Fox mom from an animated series. Francine got too many sins to be up there on the list. I'd may be put her as fourth best. Peggy might suck, but as moms go. Current American Dad! is too insane. I hope it calms down.
She is right, nothing bonds a family like a dark horrible secret
Sounds like we both have skeletons in our closets. Someday, the world may know the truth. Maybe they can handle it maybe they won't. Who knows? Some secrets are taken to THE GRAVE.
Weed really is something you can just stop. Yeah, it'll leave you wanting, but it's purely mental. There aren't any physical withdrawals. It really helps my autism and insomnia.
I never expected this many references to Hadestown in an American Dad video
Is pretty daam impossible to be a good parent and a macfarlen character, but i comfortable to say that she like her husband actually try to be a good parent. So she is a half assed mother, wich is actually pretty good by sitcom standards
Please do more American Dad videos, not enough people make videos on this show!
As a resident of Missouri, Francine says it correctly.
I think the cool thing about Francine is that while she's a fucked up psycho, she loves her children and tries to teach them to enjoy life. That's something...
My only problem with American Dad is it makes me want a Mr pibb/pibb extra and there isn't any near me
Did you go to Chipotle?
@@KittyMonk you just changed my life forever
@LrrOfOmicronPersei8 what is Mr. pibb?
@@LrrOfOmicronPersei8 e
She flip flops between Lois levels of bad mother and a good mom. Sometimes she’s a detriment and other times she’s good
I think kitty is having more fun with this show than the others honestly.
surprised emotional incest didn't come up in this one like with the cartman analysis
Stans crazy...but Francine had proven to be even CRAZIER!!! Yet, unlike Lois we know she loves her kids; even if she has to blackmail, torture or show them up once in a while! ❤😂
To answer your question why Catholics hate left-handed people, the literal root word for left-handed in Latin (which is the original language of their religion) is, literally, Sinister, Sinistri. Which of course is also the root word of the now English word Sinister.
Or left-hand path and/or Satanism? Says the Luciferians, and/or Masons passed off as "Christians"?
Interesting.
I don't think she is the worst, but clearly not the best.
how could you skip my favorite american dad joke of all time? francine wakes up months after saving steve from the sweatshop and suddenly remembers she forgot matilda, then it cuts to matilda still working away on fabrics until she stops, ponders, and says "bitch" in reference to francine
HELPPPP I JUST FINISHED THE VIDEO I LOVE YOU
Yeah.
So they made a reference to YOU (the show) in that spelling bee episode, it's the bullet proof cage.
Oh my God, I love the Monty Python refs! You're awesome, Kitty!
MORE AMERICAN DAD STUFF!
I used to be scared of Francine when I watch that show as a kid
You just managed to make the Matilda joke that much funnier. Congratulations
Honestly the Morning Mimosa episode wasn't nearly as disturbing as the Breast Milk one, just *shivers*
and at least Francine isn’t on the levels of Rochelle Rock from the back talk episode of Everybody Hates Chris, she’s on the levels of Randy in that Freemium episode from South Park
unrelated but maybe something for the Stan video: In "The Vacation Goo" doesn't Stan just randomly drop the fact that the Goo "rots out your womb" to which Hailey worriedly touches her stomach.
Idk if ive seen your channel before but i dont think i have ether way youve got a new subscriber and keep up the good work
I live in missouri and i walk around saying missoura! Its funny. Its how the old ppl say missouri. Anyway i love your videos kitty❤😊
okay, that ending tho.
so well played!
I know francine can be a bad mom but she is my tied favorite character with roger, so i let it slide.
I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the episode with HG and the exercise cult cuz it was a very good hailey and Franny Ep
I really would like a deep dive on stan or hailey, hell make one for the whole family.
Monty Python's always look on the bright side of life I love that song
Well… at least Francine didn’t watch Steven king’s sleep walkers
26:08 ive always heard this line as her telling her to quit looking for attention instead of her being lamely supportive of her quitting.
Although I agree Francine is the best of animated sitcom wives, she is legit insane 😭
If you were looking for Hayley and Francine episodes you should have done the O’Rivals one where Francine teaches Hayley how to handle having a stupid husband
Well there was that one time she forgot to pick up Roger from soccer practice
Francine is a combination of both Lois and Marge.
“You can stay right here at home…. With mommy… Forever.”
Ma’am. No.
Until Mommy gets bored and throws Steve to the wolves for her own selfish interests...
I’m pretty sure in the spelling, Kiko didn’t Misspell chrysanthemum on purpose. She got it wrong, Steve felt bad for her because of her mother, Francine, then told Steve the truth, he, then spelled his word wrong on purpose, then they started the loop.
Someone who lives Missouri I love that American dad Lin and Quote it all the time.
24:00 totally agree, I thought it was part 1 and I thought I was missing an episode on Hulu
I really love how km just made a le mis reference
If Cathloics hate Left Handers then what about Ned Flanders ?
I mean for Steve's punishment her not making any meals isn't bad. He was 14 and an honor student he couldv'e figured out how to make any type of edible dish
24:48 I was about to go upstairs but u reminded me I packed a bowl, thankyou
Update: I already smoked it I just forgot
If they do another epsiode set in the future, I feel like a great joke would be Steve having a restraining order against Francine.
I got to disagree. Marge is the best Fox mom from an animated series. Francine got too many sins to be up there on the list. I'd may be put her as fourth best. Peggy might suck, but as moms go. She is second after Marge. Then Linda... Why disrespect her? She will hurt anyone who tries to hurt her babies. Good thing Bob would stop Linda from murder.
She probably means best as in “interesting” and “entertaining”. Francine is fun to watch, but not mother material.
@@SamuraiGirl02 Now that makes sense. Me she is pretty messed up to even be a mother. Her kids got it tough. Mostly from her or Stan. Heck Rodger's stuff too.
i think the best Haleigh Fran episode is the one where they go drinking and Haleigh looses her kidney 😂
