It was pretty when you first unmolded it. It looked ombré. The silver trim and rhinestones on the original shades of blue would have been beautiful.
I think it turned out very pretty. But then again, I liked the look with the 2 blues too!

Wow wow wow!!!! That's awesome. The salt effect is cool. On the key chains and pendents the salt effect looks like ice. Everything turned out just beautiful.
Love how you finished the shell! The rhinestones add the perfect border to the chameleon color, but the chrome edge on the shell is what makes it a finished piece! The Epsom salts gave it a gorgeous soft look, not sure how you can avoid the dividing line as the salt settles, let us know if you figure that one out!?! I think the best extra is the Keychain with the blossom! Nice touch on finishing the holographic coaster!

Epsom salt is a gr8 4 adding colored sand or to a beach with a rocky edge & for large geodes with a druzy edge/center. U can color it easily with liquitex acrylic ink or any type of pigment technically. It’s definitely meant to have a texture vibe to it & used to be a filler.

I really like it. I'm gonna have to get some of those flakes. I made the large elk with Epsom salts with big blue mica pieces and it came out really cool. I call him big blue😊 have a blessed day!

At this angle, it looked like the wave mold was going to overflow from the bottom. Great technique but maybe not for deep pour? Or maybe needs a dot of glue to suspend the salt? I like how the salt looks like micro rice on the pendants. So cool.

Steve McDonald has several videos using epsom salt. I thought everything turned out very pretty!

To be honest I loved the shell the way it was it reminds me of the ocean. Like it was sitting in water. But it also looks pretty good the way you detail it. And on one of your episode you asked if everyone watches on phone or tablet. My husband and I prefer tv it shows it bigger. Keep up the great job 👏. We love it so much. Even when your sweet and funny Don comes on to. We love the way you two compete with each other.

Great save! Although, I wasn't hating the two-toned look on the shell in the first place either. It kinda looked planned that way. All in all, great project! I had wondered what the hype was about with the epson salt. Pretty cool!

I even loved it originally it just looked like the bottom of the shell was wet as shells frequently are.
Without the finishing touches the shell reminded me to a wave, frozen in time.

I think it turned out beautiful. Don't laugh but I have a full bag of epson salts from like 30 years ago when I had our last daughter that I think I will be trying this with. Love how yours turned out and that mold is gorgeous!

I love the results and didn’t know there was hype about epson salt. The coaster with the rhinestone is amazing. I need to organize my stuff before going to hobby lobby. The shell is breathtaking. The shimmering little rhinestones around the edges of the colors are perfect. I don’t think I have this mold, but I have smaller shell dishes. I would like to try to match a natural shell color with the epsom salt Great video as always

Unfortunately I colored salt with alcohol inks. I looked at it 3 months later and the color had faded (I used black) into its original color (didn't look good) so used some black sand to cover the salt and it turned out well.
