This masterpiece needs a layer of that delicious potato mash on the base of the dish (butter the dish first), then the meat filling, then the rest of the potato mash! My mouth is watering! 😋😋😋😋 Thanks for making this video! Hope you and yours are doing well during this pandemic!
No need to add butter and milk as all that need is a basic easy mash for cottage pie. Also not best practise to mix onion and garlic as garlic is very delicate. So best added at the end. Other than that looks like a fabulous recipe.
At 0:30 she adds a liquid after the wine. It’s just labelled “beef”. Is this beef stock?? If so, why is is followed by a bouillon cube? Also would be handy to get measurements
Pathetic guidance completely! 😠 I'd expect that level of consideration from some people I refer to as "friends" but are really just losers. Scant information with regards to quantities (proportionally), as you broach, oven temperature - pan frying temperature - amount of time for each... The addition of alcohol rubbed me up the wrong way as well. And cheese isn't appropriate either. A pallette knife is better to use than a fork as well. And no mention of organic ingredients, pink Himalayan salt - just, various things which turned me off this video. I think anybody who sees this as "useful" is a bit thick, to put it mildly.
@@windermere2330 You mean the base? It's beef, onion, tomato puree, carrot and peas, all cooked in stock that's thickened with flour (cornflour is best). You can lift it by using a bit of beer (stout) or wine and a small splash of Worcester sauce, maybe some thyme, but it shouldn't stray into the Mediterranean flavours. So no garlic
Foreign muck? It’s amazing how rude and bigoted some people can be. I’m English and really hope that your nasty little comment hasn’t made people think that we’re all like you. And anyway, it’s not like we, in the UK, are known for our outstanding cuisine! Cottage pie is a very versatile dish, every family I know makes it slightly differently, I’ve had it many different ways at friends/families homes. I’m betting yours is bland and tasteless, judging by your obvious disgust at the ingredients used. Get with the times, did you know that Chicken Tikka Masala is Britain’s most popular dish? Does that upset you? Try to keep you gross comments to yourself, us decent Brits don’t want to mistakenly get tarred with the same brush as the likes of you. Have the day you deserve. 😊

This is the cooking channel that I have been looking for. Quick, to the point, and good music.
Yet another appetizing recipe. This looks so good. Thank you for your great videos!
My recipe is almost identical, but I add cheddar cheese to the potato mixture. It's so delicious, and one of my family's favourite meals.
You can also add an egg yolk to your potatoes. Makes them really nicely colored and rich!
Only thing missing for me. Other then using blended tomatoes instead of paste.
I always add cheddar cheese to the potato too - Agreed, it IS delicious 😋
my favourite food from childhood 🥰 and you cooked it wonderfully, thank you for sharing your art 💞🙏
Nagi, you even make the boiling of the potatoes look interesting & tasty 😃 👌🏻
this looks so good
I just made this today and it was just sooo good!

How long in the oven?

Holy Jeezus.

How long in the oven and at what temperature?????

Is this like shepherds pie?
Just one comment. Why wouldn’t you dissolve the beef stock cube in the water and then add it in?
No reason whatsoever, that’s just her way .
what's a replacement for wine?
Just leave out and use some more stock. I never use wine as I make them family meals for my 2 small girls
Port. lol
@@lacosta2508 you can boil off the alcohol and still get the flavour, it's not going to get them drunk
Am I high or are these baby hands? (no offence)
Celery is never used in this pie.
Baby hands.
Shepards Pie!!😍😍
Is made with lamb. This is Cumberland pie because of the cheese on the top.
You show how to make mash which any 10 year old knows but not temperature or timing given for the oven . Very strange.
Garlic is strictly forbidden. Not convinced about parmesan either. Get a strong mature cheddar
Why is garlic forbidden?
@@windermere2330 Because it doesn't go in cottage pie. Simple
@@granitesevan6243 so what are the traditional ingredients for the meat part of cottage pie? Every recipe I looked at is different.

nope... no red wine garlic tom puree bloody parma or oil in cottage pie... its an ENGLISH dish not foreign muck...
Well aren’t you a real charmer ! Chloe so so!
Maybe they wanted to make something that had flavor.
There are lots of recipes for cottage pie. This one is a little different but certainly looks very appetising.

Terrible
Why?
Don't bother with this channel!! Dosen't tell you how many it's going to feed and moreover, what quantities! So lazy!@@
Its going to feed more people the higher quantities you use genius, figure it out
