      You can also add an egg yolk to your potatoes. Makes them really nicely colored and rich!

  • @tatko3366
    @tatko3366 2 месяца назад

    No need to add butter and milk as all that need is a basic easy mash for cottage pie. Also not best practise to mix onion and garlic as garlic is very delicate. So best added at the end. Other than that looks like a fabulous recipe.

      Pathetic guidance completely! 😠
      I'd expect that level of consideration from some people I refer to as "friends" but are really just losers.
      Scant information with regards to quantities (proportionally), as you broach, oven temperature - pan frying temperature - amount of time for each...
      The addition of alcohol rubbed me up the wrong way as well.
      And cheese isn't appropriate either.
      A pallette knife is better to use than a fork as well.
      And no mention of organic ingredients, pink Himalayan salt - just, various things which turned me off this video.
      I think anybody who sees this as "useful" is a bit thick, to put it mildly.

      @@windermere2330 You mean the base? It's beef, onion, tomato puree, carrot and peas, all cooked in stock that's thickened with flour (cornflour is best). You can lift it by using a bit of beer (stout) or wine and a small splash of Worcester sauce, maybe some thyme, but it shouldn't stray into the Mediterranean flavours. So no garlic

      Foreign muck? It’s amazing how rude and bigoted some people can be.
      I’m English and really hope that your nasty little comment hasn’t made people think that we’re all like you.
      And anyway, it’s not like we, in the UK, are known for our outstanding cuisine!
      Cottage pie is a very versatile dish, every family I know makes it slightly differently, I’ve had it many different ways at friends/families homes. I’m betting yours is bland and tasteless, judging by your obvious disgust at the ingredients used.
      Get with the times, did you know that Chicken Tikka Masala is Britain’s most popular dish? Does that upset you?
      Try to keep you gross comments to yourself, us decent Brits don’t want to mistakenly get tarred with the same brush as the likes of you.
      Have the day you deserve. 😊
