Kind of an odd thing to say, but there could be achievements for having each character’s exultation deal the killing blow to the final boss. IE “Grand Finale” for jester, “No more running” runaway, “Hail to the king” Leper, “The war within” MAA, etc
I don't know why people like Surgeon, I hate Surgeon, I never play it. I hate paths that deny reach to heroes that normally have it. A lot of bosses require reach to beat, and there's a bunch of very disruptive enemies that like to sit in the back, and not having the tools to deal with those feels awful to me. I've run an Incision PD yesterday, and I picked Wanderer over Surgeon because Plague Grenade is infinitely more valuable than extra damage to me. Also, the Surgeon skin is ass.
The trick is to make up the reach with other heroes, Hellion using Iron swan for example or occultist pulling those backlines into stab range. You know, teambuilding 101 Plague grenade being more valuable isn't cause surgeon is bad but because plague grenade is busted. Kinda a textbook example of a meta slave You're really going to feel it when it inevitably ends up on the chopping block
@@KiallVunMyeret Okay, first of all, can't a person express a different opinion without being immediately insulted? I'm starting to think the claims of the toxicity of the DD fandom might hold weight after all. Second of all, I'm not concerned about a nerf to Plague Grenade at all, firstly because I'm not convinced that it's going to happen, and then because if it does, I trust Red Hook to boost other parts of PD's kit to compensate for it, leading to a greater variety of viable builds and an overall better player experience. Third of all, I like my heroes flexible, and Surgeon is the definition of inflexibility. She does a frontliner's job from the backline, taking up an extremely valuable team slot normally reserved for ranged support without freeing up anything in return. She's also extremely position sensitive, only reaching full effectiveness in rank 3 - move her forward and she loses her utility skills (including my main reason for taking PD to begin with - Battlefield Medicine), move her back, she can't attack. The extra HP is nice, but of little use at the back of the party, and PD just doesn't have the skills to make a functional frontline build - something that will hopefully change once she gets updated, but then the HP buff will be gone. I've found that Wanderer enables a similar playstyle without sacrificing anything particularly substantial. Surgeon is too overspecialized for my taste, and I don't find the benefits to be worth the cost - which is a shame, because I've loved Incision builds since DD1 and the Bloody Herb.
@@RanVor First of all it matter how you express that opinion. I wouldn't have batted an eye if you just said you dislike or hate surgeon. Phrases like "I don't know why people like x" have a underlying implication that you think something is wrong with people who like x. That and the way you phrased your opinion on the skin gave your comment a very agressive tone. Toxicity breeds toxicity. If you often get toxic responses of a fanbase to the point you think the entire fandom is toxic it sometimes helps to check if how you phrase things isn't provoking that. It's often the very innocent looking phrases that make you look more agressive then you intent to be Second i agree, I'm looking forward to what Red Hook has in store for her. And third totally valid opinion. I personally believe you can overcome these flaws with how you build your team but it is true that she is inflexible both in positioning and who you can run with her

He's considered a champion, like the Fulgore or Admiral Marsh, etc. He's just a reskinned Swine Brute with an additional move. not really a mini boss.

Meh, alchemist do be generally better, but it's also waaay more boring, who cares about the meta, sometimes you just want to stab things.
