What magic items would be good for clerics and wizards? They are pretty low level, but I want to help boost their damage output, since they are vulnerable on melee.
Clerics can benefit from magic armor, shields, and magic blunt weapons, but so can the party's fighters. Beyond that there are scrolls and potions you can hand out (Clerics can get read clerical spells on scrolls and cast them) and of course magic rings and so forth that you can generally issue. Clerics can also use staves, in particular the Snake Staff can be used by Clerics,. For Magic Users, they may not benefit from armor but you can give protective rings, bracers and/or cloaks and the M-U can cast M-U spells from scrolls (assuming they are not trying to copy it the spell into their spellbook) and can use wands, and in this edition a magic dagger is welcome if melee must happen. Of course they can also benefit from potions and the various other magic items generally usable by any class as well. We'll get into the specific magic items in this set in a upcoming episode.
Very good informasjon for loot!
