@@michelecantori2748 He meant in terms of this song. This song was released when Andy left the band. So this is a rare live video where they're playing that song with Andy still in the band
It constantly amazes me how intricate their early song writing was and how tight their live performances were despite having only picked up their instruments for only a couple years.
They were like 10 MINUTES OLD but already playing (and composing) unbelievable good im so jealous I mean I can barely wake up in the morning (But, you know, it's always hard then)
This isn't actually the live debut - the debut took place at The Plug in Sheffield on October 22nd, and there's pictures of that night which show Alex with different clothes, combined with the fact you can hear people shouting in American accents here, something you probably wouldn't get in Sheffield. This is more likely from one of the gigs from their North American leg of the WPSIA tour in 2006, not sure which one specifically though. Still some nice footage, pretty rare to see Andy doing this song! I'm not sure as to why Alex says this is a new song here, though.
Damn thats andy nicholson. This is really rare.
Yeah, it's the first time they played "Leave before the lights come on"
you can find a lot of live video with andy on yt

Props to Andy, the bassline of this song is one of my band's favorites
The best band ever!
This bassline seems to be different than the one from the record...
@@cuc321 Yes, also the version of the album was recorded by Nick O'Malley
he's just playing roots though

Good point, their progress was amazing!
@@Shonytate their latest music is such shite to this era though.
@@sharinglungs3226their new music is great too
if you are a musician you'll be able to realize that all of Alex Turner's music takes skill and is intricate

i'm guessing he's saying it because the ep would've cone out around this time
the single*
He's saying it's new beacuse the single didn't come out. When it came out Andy was already out of the band

Yes Andy
Andy rules on bass guitar
this song ffeels like from the ritz to the rubble
Why can’t alex sing an high G and a High A anymore? Is it because he is smoking? He did it so well before!
His tone of voice and his English accent changed
He still does it in the old songs
Not really. His voice is to deep now.
I thought this was their first project with nick
yeah, after this gig, Nick became a bass player. He learned the songs in 24 hours
