I keep associating the sudden bursts of different tune as pain from feeling so much emotion. The idea of detaching but still fighting what is inevitable. The random flashbacks to when times were good. The longing, tearing your vision in two from pink and gray. The hesitation. I can't stop repeating this song.
I'm over two years out on a failed relationship... My fault.... "Yeah, yeah" Still hurting, longing... But they're fading away. Left town and blocked me. I screwed up, but to me love is fighting through hardships. Not GIVING UP ON SOMEONE. I do understand both sides. It's an experience at the least, and I've learned much from it. Love has all but destroyed me.
i love her delicate voice coupled with the heavier sound of the instruments and the “yeah, yeah”s it really is the perfect sound to sing and play about love. it’s such a delicate and beautiful thing that can be surrounded by such intensity and heavy feelings
this song is so ethereal and so healing. the perspective of this relationship is so mature, she doesn't lash out but also knows what's right for the BOTH of them. this song is so charming to me, its another form of love thats indescribable.
I don’t think this is a love song or at least not in a typical way , she’s singing from the pov of someone longing for another and a lot of the lines suggest they’re not even a thing “we’re meant to be but not yet” “you are all that I have but can’t get” I think it has to do more with being emotionality unavailable while in love but again everyone has their right to interpret songs differently even if it’s the opposite of the meaning the singer gave to it
Her music so easily and succinctly sums up the complicated feelings found in love and relationships, and it's always been so comforting to me in it's melancholy way. Loving her new sound! Her music has changed as I have and yet it still remains great in it's special way. So excited for the new album! :)
@@gamby16a I love Billy Joel, but I get what you mean. Stories of others are wonderfully fascinating, but when those stories are told with a focus on the feelings that took place during the event, rather than strictly the event itself, I do feel like some color is added to it.
i saw this song 'cause of a friend who posted it on their twitter. the lyrics reminded me of a situation i've been dealing with for almost 4 years. i've listen to a few songs whose made me feel related, where i felt my feelings described, but gosh... this one just hits hard the rithym at each verse changing made me think so much about how i care and love that person, but won't do anything to show explicit that. like it's already in the air, it has always been, and there's no need to say it out loud anymore. i long for their good, i want them to be well and happy, and i want them to know they can count on me, but i won't show it. i preffer to be close, but at a good distance so i won't disturb them. they know i would change everything for them, but that's not the time for that. and i know the right moment may never come, but i'll always wait for them somehow. "we are meant to be but not yet/ you're all that i have but can't get" made me so sad because it's so real for me. i am sobbing rn. love can be so many things, and there are so many ways to love someone. i know i will never love romantically someone as much as i love them, or even close enough. and i guess that's the best and the most scariest things i can feel. they have the most beautiful and big room inside my heart, inside my brain, and there will never be space enough for someone else. i just know i will carry this love forever, and the end of the lyrics being "i'll be here when you need, i always have" just makes me feel so confortable because that's it. that's what this love means. and i really love feeling it, although it hurts sometimes. the way she sang it made the lyrics even more perfect. the ambiguity between what she feels and what she show and want is just so fluid. i feel the same way, and she explained it perfectly. the harmony is brilliant too, this is one of the best songs i've heard. thank you, faye. you're awesome
I remember the first time I heard a Faye Webster song, I was in the car driving home from target and Is It Too Much To Ask was playing. Literally sparked a light in me and went home and have been listening to her for over a year now. I know too many of her songs by heart, and everything she does is better than the last. She is such an inspiration and is INCREDIBLE at everything she does. Music videos, music, yo-yoing, you name it. I guess what I’m trying to say is that Faye saved my freshman year and you all have extremely great taste. #ILOVEFAYEWEBSTER
faye’s music is so beautiful and touching everything about them to the beat to the lyrics and it just makes me realize how much it compares to my life im proud of faye and how much she’s grown.
I was about to comment on how the composition reminds me of Volcano!! I'm Still Excited, but you beat me to it ruclips.net/video/raq0uEaOSeI/видео.html
just gasped and cried immediately after looking at the lyrics because it's exactly what im going and feeling in my current relationship (first). the amount of times i wanted to try suppressing my feelings and avoiding the response to miss him because i dont want to have a scar that i would never heal from, at the same time i don't want to be disconnected from him if it will not turn out into a happy ending. faye webster the artist that u are 🙂↕️ im stanning, i originally just came here from her coachella performance and my only music that i played of her is kingston and the other songs from the album 💌
Your songs are so beautiful I love them. Just as a weird side note I had depression and this song helped me, I was at the top of a parking lot and you can see what I was gonna do but your song turned on, on the loud speaker and we'll I'm here now. You probably will never read this but thank you so much
Jeff Ament recommended and had this played on the SiriusXM Pearl Jam station. Didn't love it at first but like 6 hrs later it was the melody and piano. Next morning it was "Yeah, yeah" and the stop start of the tempo. After that it was all over
I really love this song and I barely discovered it a few days ago, I adore Faye Websters lyrics, I am barely 14 so I wouldn't say I relate to every lyric because I haven't really gone through love exactly yet but I still find relate to some lyrics a lot. I really love Faye Websters music!!!
this song is for all the avoidant attachment-style girls. for me this song encapsulates the feeling of wanting love but the fear of vulnerability cannot subside so you go back and forth with yourself to detach deep emotions into a person for the sake of emotional safety
Myself dragged me back to watch again. FAYE....ABSOLUTLEY LOVE THE ART. ALL OF IT. GREAT WORK GIRL. FOLLOW YOUR WHISPERS IN YOUR HEAD. I LOVE THIS PRESENTATION . ITS ODD TIME. VERY ORIGINAL!!!!!
this whole video is just so amazing, the song and visuals, and the whole atmosphere of it. you never fail to make me feel comforted and i love you for that ❤️
Wow. Blown away by the presence. Very origonal feel. Very cool. FEEL!!!. LOVE THE WHOLE VIDEO. GREAT JOB. VERY ORIGINAL VERY ORIGINAL. GREAT WORK!!!! Great delivery!!!! The FEEL.

LITERALLY THIS!!!! underrated comment😭
to me its the opposite like realizing you're getting attached but still trying to fight it (jeckole hehe)

I totally love this new direction of her music. Has she announced when the new album is coming out? I can't wait.
Killer swag girl. The look, the stare, the ankle socks, the delivery is stunning. Great job
I love this song precisely for its deep ambiguity ... both in the lyrics and the music ...
I absolutely hate music that is super literal (pop country, Billy Joel) so I feel this comment.

Soothing. I love the piano arrangements in this song.
Her harmonies are always such a treat to listen to!
The sudden shift was angelic 0:14
so hypnotic. kind of love the decision to not really take the song anywhere else. fits in with the theme of complacency in distance that this song has
faye’s music is so beautiful and touching everything about them to the beat to the lyrics and it just makes me realize how much it compares to my life im proud of faye and how much she’s grown.

So amazing 🎉👏
this is exactly what i’ve been feeling ever since my first breakup a month ago , how
Wow. What a powerful song. It reminds a lot of Patrick Watsons Close to Paradise.
Your all that I have but can’t get
HITS HARD!🗣️🔥🔥💯
This song live is absolutely insane. It’s almost like she slowed that little quiet guitar strum down and then that piano riff just went so hard.
Amazing as always! The piano reminds me of the Night on the Galactic Railroad soundtrack.
What a mesmerising song.
