Great methods here Alex, brilliant content as always! It's particularly useful if someone hasn't got many examples of their work alongside films, games, trailers etc. Currently I view AI as a tool to further my creativity. I use AI regularly to generate images to use in my cover art and I edit them heavily in Photoshop. I have paid artists in the past to make my promotional art, but unfortunately for small composers, the cost of hiring an artist for every release isn't worth the return in streaming earnings or royalties, and I can achieve a desired result myself with a bit of additional effort and AI assistance. Maybe if I learned to draw I'd be completely set for life! 😂 I will probably look into hiring a digital artist again in the future, maybe when I am financially able to do so, but until then I'll be looking to AI to help make my 2023 showreel this year too.
Golden content, as always! I have been using mid journey for my music on youtube it is so helpful, but I might try the first idea with motion leap its interesting, thanks Alex.
gen i ill have a look at that I been working backwards I write a cue then add the art work free images to match it lol thanks Alex very useful best wishes Phil uk England😎
Do you think that we, as humans, want to enjoy AI generated movies on Netflix that will be released every day, or even worse, that you can create yourself and then host? Where would be the fun anymore in that? There may be a bit of a point in time where this will happen, but companies will go broke faster than they want to if they are not aware that humans will always appreciate true art! THEN companies (as many already do) will focus on making AI a support for artists, not looking forward to replace them! :)
These are cool ideas (and I admit I had already been using some of them), but the moral questions of modern AI leave me hesitant to pursue the techniques any further.
Thank you, to be honest noone keeps you from hiring artists and pay them hundreds or even thousands of dollars as you previously did to have your demo reel spiced up 😉
@@AlexPfeffer I don't know but as soon as I saw it I was like "Of course he has a Google Pixel". It fits you, I guess? It's the best Android experience out there for sure!
Thx for the video. Daily upload now 👍 The second strategy is really good 👍 Third one : bravo Those 2 would deserve a tuto video from A to Z 👍✋ Speaking about the subject : even if I completely understand we can work together with AI and become more productive or more artistic in a lot of different domains : I hope humans will be wise enough to take steps to be protected against it as well but I doubt it (look at how long it took for the safety belts to be implemented in cars...) Anyway, AI will eventually consume “everything.” Entertainment, gaming, basically any content that is on the internet could be driven by generative A.I. models that are trained on data from the real world. And I prefer not to think about AI being able to get a conscience by itself... Cause humans will be seen as ants on their way. Vast tdopic ! Have a nice day
Quick question: Do you want to live in a world where everything is created by AI? Daily new movies on Netflix, or actually no Netflix anymore and video game companies because everyone can create everything for themselves? I think noone wants to be in this position because noone would be interested in anything anyone is doing anymore. Sad world and I think that nobody wants this :) Right now at this point companies realize this and some of them express that they want to for in favor of artists, not replace them.
@@AlexPfeffer Of course not. I want the human input ;-) And I will even go further in order to try to reassure people as I think AI is over rated : One argument in the favor of a slow down on AI tec development : AI & High-Tech also meet the ENERGY CLIFF that is happening. @@xtadeus4777 I get it but to say AI is overrated is even not comparable to saying digital photography or cars is overrated. It is a "natural" step in our evolution to make things easier and faster. I love your channel and insights into composing, technology, etc. However, I urge you to think more about AI rather than "I know there are problems, but it's still cool." AI is profoundly dangerous on several levels. Not the least of which is the threat to composers. AI can write and record symphonies! As it learns more about the desires of film or game producers, it will get better. And it learns quickly! I am a retiree who enjoys composing. Since I have no interest in earning a living with music, AI is no threat to my avocation. But for composers aspiring to composition as a profession, I think some serious discussion about this is warranted.
I appreciate your comment and your kind words! However, AI will happen anyway, disregaring what you or others think or not. AI will also not taking over us, it will be people that know how to use AI. Also I don't care if AI can record symphonies soon ... it doesn't happen yet. If it will be one day, I am already on a path to make it work in my favor! Sorry, but my world is colorful, optimistic and beautiful by being aware that bad stuff happens also, and lots of it .. but I will NEVER ever let it dictate my life! :)
@@AlexPfeffer Thanks Alex. Your optimism is very appealing and we are certainly on the same page regarding awareness of what dictates our lives. @@amindmuser Yes, that's true, but there is still a big difference between AI acting how we programmed it and something like Skynet becoming self-conscious. According to Kurzweil, there is a big difference between these two things, which could mean a few hundred years until we reach that point.
