Love the video. The play you make where you are sitting open water spotting for your team was a great play, but I don't find too many destroyer players out in the wild making that play. I wish there was an indication on screen of your spotting damage. Having an indicator like that could show the player that they aren't just sitting doing nothing and incentivize that sort of play
Ya know, something I’ve never seen you talk about tbull( which makes me think you’re not aware of it) but shooting at the very tip of ships, no ship has more than 32mm of armor on the nose, so every single DDs ap shell can penetrate it if it’s broadside, it a very good way to continue to farm damage once the superstructure becomes damage saturated
I love the Leningrad, I had a game in it yesterday where I pushed into a bayern and a failtoon of a trento and emerald I came out with three kills, 5 torp hits, and 16 citadels. Unfortunately a loss. I run more of a concealment build with bey and violette as inspiration alongside look at me now over the mortar perk.
Hey Tbull, this is a bit off topic but could you pass a question up the line please... The permanent camo for tech tree ships in the shop has been for German ships for as long as I can remember. Could you ask someone when/if they're ever going to give another nation like... I don't know... maybe the Russians or French or Japanese their turn at permanent camo on tech tree ships? If they aren't, I think everyone that wants permanent camo for the Germans have it and they can just take it out of the shop for now hahaha.
@tbull , I have a 2 questions: 1. right about when I changed the controller preset to the gunlock setting, the pointer (aiming point) was turning around the ship, for no reason, and if I should let it turn it'll do a 360. Extemely frustrating when you're aiming. Does this sound familiar and is ot a setting (it isnt inverted x or y axis)? 2. Also the the auto aim has sometimes hick ups by not choosing the closest target how do you counter that?! Thank you in advance
Use your better concealment to out spot them so your teammates can shoot them and save your smokes so that you have a tool to disengage if needed. Be aware of radar cruisers and do not over commit or camp in smokes. Use things like the mini map to help you figure out where enemy dd are, you can see smoke on the mini map as well as spotted torpedoes so you can get an idea where they might be so you aren’t caught off guard
Firstly, you don't seek out gunfights in Japanese DDs. If it looks like it's going to go to guns, know your disengagement path and try to get the first hits in. This demands good concealment and if you don't have that, well, it makes all of this much, much harder. Whoever lands the first good hits usually wins DD engagements. Once the shooting starts, run. Most Japanese DDs are nimble and have heavy rear-facing armament. Chasing them is a fool's game. Make the opposing DD the fool. Also, keep in mind where your support is. If you don't have any and the opposing DD does, smoke up and run. You really don't want to get into knifefights with other DDs. Stick and move. Stick and move.
@@TbullGaming In all fairness I was just trying to gtf out of there and had an Atlanta coming up and the Bayern shooting at me as well...If I had engaged you with guns it just would have ended faster
If you think Destroyers are ruining the game, then you probably: 1. Don’t play Destroyers/understand their Role 2. Only play Battleships 3. Aren’t very good at the Game/are a new Player Carriers won’t necessarily “solve” anything, but I also don’t know how WG will implement them.
@@Mr-Hakim I play battleships mainly but I still play destroyers quite a lot although I’ve seen some gameplay from pc version and they go out and spot destroyers
That Atlanta was having a blast. One long golden shower with no shortage of big targets.

It's just a matter of the superstructure being a lot easier to hit in most cases. When the HP dries up, one definitely needs to dig a new well
Nice vid as usual Tbull keep up the great wows legends content!

That was one of your best. So many nuggets. 👍🏼
thanks TBull. Some great tips.
Great video tbull

My only problem with this ship is the turrets traverse.
Very informative thank you sir
I just got the Monaghan from a super Santa crate
Tbull I have trouble surviving engagements with other destroyers when in the ijn torpboats....even when I try to get the guns involved

Is the leningrad similar to the tech tree Minsk then?
Pretty similar, the torpedoes are longer range though
Good vid, thanks
I gotta get the Buffing Dewey mug hahahaha sold...
I like the Leningrad, worth the price.
The good, the bad, and the Leningrad...
That akastuki didn’t even engage.....lol Japanese HE is op although it only tried to Torp u.
Typical approach and typical results

Can't wait for carriers to take care of the world of destroyer issues.
Right now destroyers are ruining the game.
Yep carriers are gonna be sitting those destroyers when they come out
