Beautiful Cherry blossoms. The part of the flower that sticks up in the center is called the stamen and on top of the stamen is the anther which is the part that produces the pollen.

I'm in awe with the Russian polymer clay artists. Their flowers are amazing.
Yes, stamen. I saw one artist dip the pin in the liquid clay and pastel, place in a sponge and bake for I believe it was 15 minutes. ??? Maybe 10. I can't remember. All she had to do was place in the center of the flower and bake.

my question is: did you bake that metal piece in? the eye hook. it didn’t melt??? I want to make stud earrings like this but would want to bake the backing in

I have used steel studs casings to make polymer clay studs and it did not melt while baking. Hope this helps.
