So what to look for when buying tv box under 100€ , what is must have and nice to have, smoothness and easy to use is like obligated. I want to buy my first tv box , and later 4k TV. So if you have sugestions or what to avoid, please give me some link or advice.
What is the best for to watch live TV and to record episodes? We have a roku TV and cable but cable is now a whopping $211!!! We watch weekly NBC CBS FOX shows like Chicago shows, Law and order shows, general hospital, etc.
Just got her 8K Android TV box and it will not allow me to load WhatsApp or even does not have it on play store any reason why or how I can get around this
At least mention in the video if the boxes support HDMI passthrough for DTS HD MA, Dolby True HD etc.....just another typical review of some random boxes. HDR 10+ etc.....??????
Android TV really needs a new certified Google TV device. Whether its made by Nvidia or someone else, these are all either dated devices or cheaply made without being android TV certified.
The Shield Pro is still the overall performing Android box that’s certified and compatible with pretty much everything. Its GPU is so overpowered that it more than makes up for its RAM. I agree with you though that it’s due for a legit update, unlike they did in 2019. Being an Android device, we should expect its chipset to be compatible with RUclips HDR (VP 9.2). While they’re at it, AV1 too. The remote needs to be flat. Switch the box & remote color to white to make us feel fancy. It also needs HDMI 2.1b, WiFi 6E, and reduce the Pro’s price reduction to $149, like the more powerful Apple TV. 4GB of faster RAM would be icing on the cake. The should lean in on the AI superiority as well for enhancing all video and audio better, not just upscaling lower quality content. The better question is, what box(es) do you prefer and why? I’d genuinely like to know.
@@NickWindham Well it took four weeks before anyone asked that one. Its been a problem for some while now since my laptop with native Android (Android x86) is dead i had to switch for Xbox X. Laptop with native android is superb but control sucks , Xbox has everything i need except thousands of usable apps.
The Nvidia Shield TV Pro is more than once nominated as the best choice even in 2024. I bought one a year ago and I am not happy: 1. Storage space far too small, if you install a few apps it is full and gets very slow. Yes you can move apps to USB-storage but this does not work very well and slower performance is a part of that. 2. For some reason the casting function does not work. As this device is not supported anymore there are no updates to solve this. 3. There are a few bugs that are not solved after all the updates. Sometimes the remote does not work and you need to reboot for example. 4. Even though the chipset is a raeal power house the overall performance is not that great. I also have 2 Mecool KM6s and these work much better overall, magnificent TV boxes with solid performance and very little bugs, Netflix certified etc. Yet they cannot be found in any overview of the best andoid TV boxes.
Been using my Nvidia Shield pro for almost a year now I haven't had any of those problems could be maybe u got a bad box. Try calling Nvidia their customer service is awesome. I have tons of apps and IPTV on hard drive connected through the USB it's 1TB and it still streams perfectly and it's still loads everything fast.
I never have problems with Nvidia shield. Perhaps something is wrong with yours. Why you haven't seen mecool on the list of top tv box because of the price. I mean mecool price almost as much as apple tv. I rather purchase apple tv. Mecool doesn't have upscaling capibility like nividia shield or apple tv. And the last one is probably the nail in the head, mecool lies too. Mecool KM6s deluxe said it support dolby vision which is apparently not and the low volume on mecool devices.
