I was really hoping you were going to turn onto G Street downtown. That's where everyone goes to walk around, shop, eat and go to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Oh well. One of the most beautiful drives. Strange choice to end however, in a Freddy's parking lot 😀. Thanks!
I was born and raised in Grants Pass, Graduated from GPHS in 1973. Moved to Roseburg at the age of 18. Does not look like the town changed much, but I bet the surounding area has, Millies sandwich shop had changed hands a few times, the last time I stopped there was about 6 years ago and the sandwiches were not fit to eat, the joint was dirty, only thing still good was the bread. Piggly Wiggly is now an appliance store, and I see a Wallmart and a few other restaurants. Plan on a summer motorcycle trip there and spend a few days. Wish Millies was still like it use to be.
Law less city, Drugs Sex, Rock Roll, Homeless have taking over the city parks, they live in their junky cars/trucks/Rv's no law and order, plenty of free things for the low life's that all come here to hang out. Pretty sad to see what has happened here in Grants Pass, Or.
actually its alot better now. And most of the parks are soon to be off limits after the supreme court ruling. they are designating a couple parks that don't have playgrounds like Baker, for camping to comply with Oregon's laws. And actually Riverside really had has the homeless relegated to the far west area for a year now. So the main use outs have been wideopen. the year before it was pretty crazy and unsafe.
As someone in California who has seen our towns completely taken over by the drug addicted homeless street dwellers I am so glad to see Grants Pass try to keep the city cleaned up from this issue that destroys the quality of life for the working, tax paying citizens. Neighborhoods in Portland have become so bad the property values have been cut in half in many areas and the people still can’t find buyers. Sick of the bleeding heart liberals defending the destruction of our communities. The ninth circuit court ruled that you cannot remove the homeless camps off of public spaces in most cases and Grants Pass challenged this ruling all the way up to the Supreme Court. The court just ruled that cities can clean up these camps off of public property so now city officials can no longer use the excuse that their hands are tied when dealing with this issue.

Glad to see Grants Pass working to keep the drug addicted street people from setting up camps in all the public parks, streets, etc.
