10:06 Yes this was their online concert for "MAP OF THE SOUL 7" album, it was called "MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E", they had the world tour planned for that entire year but everything got cancelled cuz of the pandemic.. so in october of 2020 they held this 2 day online concert where we got to see the live performances of all their new songs from map of the soul : 7 album for the first time ever.. that online concert literally broke & made so many world records💜

Exactly! It drove me crazy when people tried to sexualize his performance and him. He was showing us artistically his life behind the cameras, and growing up in front of everyone. It was so beautiful to see. Bravo 👏 💜🫶

Jungkook never fails to amaze me the first time i listened to my time i thought it'd be hard to sing live bcs of the fast beat but jungkook killed it!! Yes this was online concert, first time we saw jk perform My Time and with this look esp, ARMY lost its collective mind on twitter lol😅. Jk really killed it I think, it had to be so hard to sing this live along with the strenuous choreo! Personally for you guys I would've picked Still With You, I just think you will enjoy that one more ...one day we will see that reaction I hope!

This performance was October of 2020. It was an online concert with two days. There was no audience. The audience cheers were edited in by BigHit/HYBE, both in real-time during the concert stream and in the DVD version.

This performance of my time went viral because this is legit LIVE LIVE vocals. Not just Live performance. Not lip sync, no backing vocals, no prerecorded vocals. Only Jk can sing LIVE vocals with good quality stable vocals while doing a choreography in the vocal line. Others can argue, but if you are here long enough, You know.
The think that bothers me the most is the fact that JK was supposed to perform this song during a whole tour, and you know as musicians how a song performance get better the more you do it.... For those two online live performances it was already exceptionnal what he does, so I can't imagine what it would've been during a whole tour... All the members were so upset and depressed when the Map Of The Soul Tour was canceled due to the pandemic, and ARMY felt so sad for them and us..... Anyway listen to the studio version too, the production is so great, and JK's delivery with all the runs and adlibs is so good... An eargasm.

I discovered Jungkook and BTS almost 2 years ago and i have been listening to MY TIME everyday ever since (along with STAY ALIVE). TO JUST SAY I LOVE THIS SONG WOULD BE THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR!!!

I was like toddler army when this came out and didn't have tickets but the morning I came on Twitter and saw clips of him in the black outfit doing My time... I immediately got tickets to night 2 and woke up at 3am to watch it with my daughter. I was hard-core rabbit holing after that and have never looked back!
6:43 stage design for my time… this was an online concert… so they went big because it was the first time they would ever perform these solo songs for army…. And bc their whole tour got canceled….. they made the whole concert way bigger and more visually captivating …. But I don’t remember the other members having the screens but , RMs had this huge crazy stage with a mic on fire and huge RMs , hobi had a car, v had a carousel, jimin had mannequins and a wardrobe change mid performance…. All yoongi he had multiple visual callbacks to his mv with like shadow ppl and hands grabbing through a white sheet at him… so so much, Jin had a children’s story themed performance , jungkook literally goes from one stage to another with all those cameras following his every move… his song is about how he grew up fast in front of the world… from one life stage to the next .. all the performances were live except for jimins solo stage bc he couldn’t do the outfit change in time and he didn’t like how the layered clothes felt like performing bc they made him more tired… so for a better show for army they prerecorded his solos for the performances both days… they did different things for their group performances for visual aspects like on starts with them in their robes… has the big gate from the story music video…. And has a huge rock structure like in the story mv that they run up at the end. They went all out…. It was majestic! You guys will love the mots concert when you get to it. They performed old songs as well as newer songs off the map of soul album
I really enjoyed your reaction because it was clear that you were very taken by what you were seeing! Beyond the staging, I think it's clear why Jungkook is considered one of the best artists in kpop. He has an absurd stage presence, he captures the audience's attention with his movements and with his LIVE voice. I capitalize "live" because this is not repeated enough, he uses 100% his voice, without prompts .. it's just him.
This was one of the performances that made me realize that I could have no other bias than him. I love all the boys, but he has that extra something…
Definately one of the tracks that shows jungkook range and also how stable he is with his voice. The choreo was hard. He made sure to sing the entire thing precisely. I love him and will always wish the best for his career. He truely deserves it. He is super hard on himself and just the way he talks about his music, you know he loves singing, he loves music and that's what artists should be like.
COVID online concert, two days - which is why you see the two outfits. All the cameras in the middle of the dance break are part of the meaning of the song. He has always been on camera, from a young age. He literally grew up in front of the cameras.

It was the first online concert of BTS ....All members nailed the concert ' Map Of The Soul 7 ' ...!!!My time is my fav track .....This song is about his life , how he lost his childhood to become an idol . Choreography was done by JK himself ( Correct me if im wrong ) .......I watched the whole concert...it was fire!!!!!!
I don't know if he did the choreography all by himself, but he definitely helped. While I completely understand Jungkook joining the kpop industry at 13 he did lose some of the normalcy of his childhood, but I don't think he completely lost it. He had 13 years before he joined Bighit and even though he had major responsibilities that most kids don't have at that age he still had a lot of fun with the other members and got to have experiences that most kids and adults will never get to experience. No matter your life, you're going to miss out on something.
Brian Puspos contributed to this choreography for this (as well as JK, since I've seen others say that JK was involved). Brian also did "Butterfly," Jimin's "Serendipity," and just helped with JK's "Seven" choreo (and performed it with him during his US/UK live performances).

7:48 my issue with stage mixes is that they alter the vocals…. So you’re not hearing it as live as he is singing it… bc they blend the vocals all together but I much more prefer the very live vocals… but also this video is very zoomed in to JK a lot of the time so you guys didn’t see most of the choreo… but if you notice… he does a move pointing his finger …. Like he’s the hand of a clock, he stops and does another move and it’s kinda pointing at his hands, and then other moves as he goes and he points two ways… it’s like clocks hands. It’s really cool… and immersive… you guys have to see that whole concert!!!! You will love it… think you’ve seen most of the songs except their solo songs … so maybe you can watch it soon!!!

This concert was performed not physically but virtually due to pandemic but still JK's solo performance was done real-time and literally LIVE.
I really wanted you to watch “begin” bc it’s a song about his love for BTS… and you’re watching burn the stage and Daniel you especially always point out the choreo for “begin” but don’t know what the choreo is for yet so I just wanted you to be able to see this majestic performance… jhope said it was the most difficult choreo any of them had done at the time… that’s not a small thing for him to say… but the song is so good and catchy, his live vocals with so much emotion…. Ugh it’s so so good!! But I get why ppl wanted my time…. It’s a lot of ppls favorites bc if the visuals, the dance and the difficult vocals… he really flex’s his ability to be a vocal chameleon…. Which is what one of the producers of Seven said about him after working on recording seven… they were shook at how he can do it all … perfect way to describe jk.

Yes, this was part of their online concert called "MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E" for their "MAP OF THE SOUL 7" album. Originally, the concert was planned (in person), a world tour, and a lot of people already secured tickets but was canceled due to the pandemic. Most of the ARMYs donated their concert ticket refunds for the pandemic charity cause. Then, in October of 2020 they held a 2-Day online concert where we got to see the live performances of all their new songs from the album Map of the Soul: 7 for the first time! "My Time" was one of those. At 8:19 you mentioned the many cameras visible. I believe this is tied with the meaning and concept of his song where he says, 'My life has been a movie all the time.' He was basically saying that almost all his life, he was being watched by the public. The song is really heartbreaking for me as a Jungkook bias but at the same a 'proud moment" for me coz he gets to express himself and try the things he wants to do.

This iconic LIVE performance still makes me sad... bittersweet really... because I had tickets to their MOTS7 world tour in 2020 before it got cancelled due to Covid. This was part of their on-line concert during the pandemic...the next best thing they've gifted us with. The whole team worked so hard planning their 2020 World tour. If I was feeling kinda sad already, I can only imagine what the guys were feeling after putting so much time & effort into everything only to have their world tour cancelled. Everyone's safety first of course. 😭💜
