Such an obvious thing to do but nobody does it!!, it’s like brake dust is such a thing that a pre wash would be ridiculous to even try, and yet, here it is, proof!! I can’t believe I haven’t tried this myself, I’ve tried snowfoam and that did nothing so I suppose I always went for the wheel cleaning process but I will now do this EVERY CLEAN!! Brilliant QTT not only for the Autobrite Direct Just Wheels but for the tip of the year so far!!, NO NEED FOR 10 CHEMICALS ON ONE WHEEL!! 🔥🔥🔥
I didn't do this myself for years but now it just seems so obvious! And you're 💯 correct - using the right products is so much more important than using the most products... Good processes can make up for a lack of 10 chemicals 🔥🔥🔥
Another great and unbiased review 👌 AD Just Wheel is indeed a very capable shampoo However, one point missed and could be down to when it was shot , is that the dilutions of GT Wheel V2 are actually half those if AD now, 10/15ml in a bucket... so you'll actually get double the washes..
Thanks Jon - although it wasn't a point that was missed, it just wasn't a comparison between the 2 brands... And it never will be on my channel. Most people aren't measuring out 15ml, 20ml or 30ml when they're adding shampoo to a bucket on a Saturday or Sunday morning washing their cars, most people just go out to enjoy the process... And for that reason I made it clear that fans of each brand should stick to what they love and the people who don't associate themselves with any brand and want to enjoy their car care can buy either and won't be disappointed 👍🏼
I have this wheel shampoo to and thoroughly enjoy it. Your right its very close to the gt wheel shampoo. Iv only tried v1 currently. I also do the same as you and rinse off before dipping back in.
Rinsing the brushes is the only way to avoid having black gritted water by the end! Brake dust doesn't exactly dissolve and I don't want to be rubbing it back in to the 4th wheel!
Never used any GT products but I'm pleased to know what I use, the AB wheel shampoo, can stand tall against the popular GT. Also, there aren't many detailing channels left on RUclips anymore that you can actually trust what is said. Yours is an exception.
Thank you for that Adrian, genuinely really nice to read messages like that - I've always said that I'd be embarrassed if I looked back in 5 to 10 years and watched myself deliberately promoting a product to appease some brand! It's just not my style... I'd rather have my integrity than sell my soul for a free bottle of shampoo 🤣👍🏼
Great video Mark. Just "spoke" to Graeme about having to buy a new Wheelshampoo and this will be the one. To my surprise I can order it over here in the Netherlands. Really like to try the GT stuff but have to import that.
It's always a shame when getting the products you want isn't as easy as just ordering it online - but you definitely won't be disappointed with the Autobrite one 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video Mark, i have been using this wheel shampoo for a while and tend to alternate between the 2 you mentioned. Very enjoyable product to use and does the job its designed for.
It's right up there Dave, I can't fault it at all. Pleasant to use, plenty of suds, smells nice, plenty of lubrication & cleaning power... Ticks all the boxes 👍🏼
Another great QTT review 👍👍. Looking back on your other reviews on the AutoBright range I do think they look like a decent brand to try at least once before saying no, hmm more money leaving my pockets 🤦♂️🤦♂️. As for adding some foam to the bucket err 🤔🤔, I thought you were about to cover your drive 🤣🤣🤣.
Ah just a few bubbles mate lol I have to admit, I'd looked past the AD range for years but since I first tried them 18 months ago I've been more than impressed with a lot of the range - I still haven't cracked open the coloured snowfoams and glittery shampoos but maybe this summer I'll put fun before function lol 👍🏼
@@SparkleanAutos I think it's really hard to find just 1 brand to truly love without at least trying the others. I'm finding that since coming away from Autoglym and they're not a brand to call rubbish at all. I suppose that's what makes us all individual liking each brand for our own thoughts. Might try and sneak a few products passed the boss at Waxstock 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing informative in depth videos and content. Would be good if you are able to review some Duel Autocare products as I found theese to be extremely good and economical including their acid free wheel cleaner and their pre wash etc.
Thank you very much! Maybe one day in the distant future but for now I have no immediate plans to introduce Duel to the channel - I have at least 6/7 months worth of content to film first... But maybe one day 👍🏼
Is a wheel shampoo necessary? No. I managed with Surfex in an IK foamer just fine. But it is a luxury that I'm happy to pay for! Just Wheels is a lovely lovely product. a decent pre wash is also a must. Thanks for the video. Always enjoy your work.
You could argue if washing your car is even necessary lol looking around any random car park at this time of year and the general consensus is no 🤣 but this is a hobby for most and it's not about necessity, it's about enjoyment - Surfex may be cheaper than a lot of products, but that doesn't mean it's nicer to use lol For maintenance cleaning, at no more than 30-40p per wash, give me a wheel shampoo over a high-alkaline APC any day of the week! Thanks for watching as always 😁👍🏼
@@SparkleanAutosthe world of RUclips would be a very boring place indeed if every video was about Surfex. I’ll say this, Surfex is a brilliant product, it’s very versatile, performs brilliantly and is very cost effective. WE ARE ALL WELL AWARE OF THIS 😅 Just Wheels is superb as well and performed as good as GT V1 wheel shampoo when I compared them 😊
@@GMDetails it was your wheel shampoo comparison test that prompted me to give one a try. Up until then I'd just been using Surfex and/or Autowash. Both perform, but they're not exactly fun. I now treat Surfex as the wheel prewash to do the dirt shifting so I can enjoy using other products for the contact wash.
Hi Mark. Another interesting video. I have been using this wheel shampoo and think its a great job. Doesn't say on my bottle if it's ph neutral. Do you know? Cheers John
I don't know John but if I had to guess without testing (and this is purely a guess!) I'd say that any product which claims to be strong enough to remove brake dust would have to at the very least lean towards the alkaline end of the scale... By how much I don't know but it's not something I spend too long thinking about as I do think sometimes there's too much focus on pH neutral products and it's more important to thoroughly rinse afterwards, whatever you use 👍🏼
I'm a big fan of the AD one tbh, it's one of my most regularly used pre-washes .. I actually did a recent video on the Garage Therapy one too, I found it effective as a pre-wash but not via a lance as suggested in the bottle... I just wouldn't buy it again as I find their second wash does everything Citrus does, and more!
@@SparkleanAutos thanks for your feedback. I guess I’ll have to try the AD citrus wash next. By the way I completely agree with pre-washing wheels. I’ve been doing the same for some time although a little different routine. Spray the wheels with Cartec wheel cleaner, allow to dwell and then rinse. The remainder of the dirt on the wheel is then taken care of with a wheel shampoo, brushes and a mitt.
Exactly what I have been doing until recently... Well, a different product lol but yes, same principle - spray with a wheel cleaner, rinse, THEN contact wash with a shampoo .. I still do that sometimes OR I just use the same prewash as the rest of the car.. depends on how bad the wheels are 👍🏼👍🏼
Yet again a flawless unbiased review with outstanding products and used as they should be, nice touch about this product and the GT one from a previous video being honest and trustworthy should be your middle names my friend 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you Roy. As regular viewers should no by now, I'm no salesman and I'm not here to promote anything! Every brand has their fan base and I'm not trying to persuade those people either way, but the majority of people just enjoy different things and it's nice to give them honest options 👍🏼 Thank you for the kind words mate (unlike the ones I get in private 😋🤣👍🏼)
Recently started using autobrite citrus and am really impressed with it at 30:1 it's really good value for money
I completely agree Luke, it's very good even at low dilutions 👌🏼
