- In this video, we fly into the Tulum airport, which just opened recently. Traveling to Tulum was a little complicated before this airport opened, but with the addition of direct Tulum flights, flying to Mexico has never been easier.
The New Tulum Airport has everything you need and we will tell you all you need to know about traveling to Tulum, Tulum transportation to and from the airport, and what services they currently have available. We are also visiting the Capital One lounge in the DFW airport

Thank you for the information. I can't wait for my vacation in Tulum next month.
Great video. Looks like they have everything you could need plus extra like play areas for kids. I haven't seen any of those in the USA. Looks like it is going to be great once everything opens up
DFW is my home airport. I love the C1 lounge…those scones are so good. Too bad about losing lounge privileges next year
Thanks for being the first on RUclips to give helpful information about car rentals at TQO. I was wondering if you made your reservation online and if so which site did you use? TQO has a link to car rentals but they all list Centro Tulum as the pickup point. It looked like you picked your car up directly at the airport.
Even if I never go to Tulum, your bloopers make the video worth watching!
thank you for visiting our country! 👍🏼
Based on your experience, would you recommend renting a car? Been reading a lot of mixed reviews and just want to make sure my family and I take the safest mode of transportation around there 😅
Thanks for this video! How much was the car rental for 5 days?
i pray tourists take care of this
How did the customs agents treat you going in? Cancun, they're pretty lax and in Merida, they're sometimes unfriendly/rude.
They were pretty indifferent
How much in total with insurance was the rental car?
So how much do you pay for day
Any ATMs at the airport?
Did you need to fill out anything for entering Mexico? Like any forms for immigration? I'm traveling in November and I want to be prepared
I went last year and didn't need anything but my Passport (the wallet size Passport Card is not valid for entry) and a Mexico Tourist Card (FMM). I do recommend making sure they stamp your Passport (you may have to ask them to do it) or else you may just receive a very small ticket that shows when you came in and if you lose that it's a pain to prove you came in legally and will have to go through a process when trying to fly out and have to pay extra money for a new ticket. It can make you miss your flight if there are very many people also having to go through that process (there were 30 people having to do it when one of my buddies found he lost his and had to do it while we waited and we barely made it onto our floght) since the ticket is easy to misplace or get damaged, which is what they are hoping will happen to you so they can make extra money off of you. Definitely GET YOUR PASSPORT STAMPED BY THEM!
Also, I highly recommend getting a slim "front pocket" wallet to keep your cards and money in to prevent pick pockets (rare but it does happen there) so that nothing is in a back pocket and try to keep your phone in a front pocket or wear cargo style shorts so you can keep them in a leg pocket. I would also recommend getting the Passport Card in addition to the full size Passport (or at the very least take a good picture with your phone to keep) so you can keep the small card in your wallet or luggage in case you lose your Passport or it's stolen so that all your Passport information is available to get the paperwork you need to leave the country or get a new one. The Passport Card is actually more handy than a Real ID drivers license, easier to get, and cheaper than the Real ID as well and can be used for all domestic flights and flights to US Territories, and for entry into government buildings, and for travel by sea to Mexico, Canada, Bermuda, and the Caribbean.
@@kevinfleming9919 Did you get the Mexico Tourist Card (FMM) online or once you got to the airport? And thank you so much for all of the information!!
@@houseofheartsx We got ours online and printed out the form so we could save time once we got there because it said we still needed to get it stamped once we arrived at the airport or border depending on how we travel. They ended up including it in the cost of our plane ticket (about $43 for the FMM) and handed out FMM's before we landed on one trip and we got them at the immigration desk at the airport on arrival another time. Forgot to mention in my other comment that you only need the FMM if you are going to be traveling more than 12 miles into the country or from your tourist staying spot and you may be able to still get it for free if you are arriving into and traveling by land for 7 days or less. You also don't need one (at the time we last went about 1 1/2 year ago) if you arrived and departure from Cancun International Airport (CUN), Cozumel International Airport (CZM) or Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) but you should double check before you go to see if that's still correct, but even if you don't get it beforehand to save money you can get it when you arrive if it is required at the immigration desk. Please double check my info with a travel agency or an online FMM center (like mexicotouristcard . com as things may have changed since my last trip.
@@kevinfleming9919 Thank you so much for all of the info! I'm flying from the US directly into Tulum's new airport and I wasn't sure what I needed.
