Traveling to India is like traveling in Europe, there are 22 official languages in India, all religions are there, so don't worry, each area of India will open up new avenues for you. Also when you learn vedic jyotish, it becomes more of soul connection than bodily one. So atleast good students won't bother how you look or not.
