The game now a day can't be defended effectively because of the threes and long threes are shot. The perimeter of covering of defense is just too exhausted to defend beyond the arc. Today's game, you must be able to shoot 3s or quick fast break. Offense trumps defense; you must score with a good lead in order to beat the opponent. Hek, so many teams lost with a good 20+ points lead on the first half. The skillsets required in today's game are much greater than the older days. I enjoy the 80s and 90s basketball more because of everything. Today's game, too many whistles and flopping. As much as I like to watch star players like Curry, Kyrie, Durant, AE, Booker, etc. .. Basketball was much more al around back in the days.

Nuggets need a good back up PF, that's their main weakness. They have good guards, good SF and ok Centers but no real back up PF for AG. And no AG means no central defense to help Jokic. Its not that Jokic played bad defense, he just needs 1 more big guy around to help defend or rebound. And today Cleveland just out shoot them, it was not a bad game by Nuggets it was a realy good game by the Cavs, and an improvised start up team too small to stop them
