Glad the review came out. Got really close to buying it because in promotional photos the bezel is dark red / burgundy. In this video the bezel is really way too light & bright red, which makes it so much less classy looking than the official SM photos. So... hopefully something that they will improve one day with a V2. Edit: wow that red colour & bezel on the Pagani looks so much better.. did not expect that given the price difference! Wish SM would literally use the same bezel as the Pagani, albeit I don't like the rest of the Pagani so will not be buying either of these watches in their current state.
I actually prefer this vibrant red, gives it a modern look. I'm just not keen on the bronze / brown dial text, gives it a faux vintage look which don;t match the cermaic bezel or colour imo
Good review. San Martin SN0128 offers a much better value when competing it to the Pagani design. The Pagani design looks good but the QC with Pagani design watches are often well known.
This is true, but the Pagani Design has also fallen in price from when I bought my 3. They used to be in the $150 range, I've got one of my listed basically close to new for less than $80.
The pagani’s isn’t really burgundy. I don’t get why Tudor people have tried to convince everyone that red in darker light is burgundy. Burgundy is red with some purple in it, not just darker red
I agree. The color I'd prefer is likely Maroon not Burgundy. Neither of these get it quite right, but the Pagani is closer to Maroon than Burgundy (to my eyes). I only used Burgundy because that is what people search for when they talk about the Black Bay.
Looks like the ad2043 could be a great alternative. Still waiting for a review, before pulling the trigger, but the addiesdives promotional video, makes the watch look sick!
@@simonrodriguez7204 Looks good on paper, but I have yet to have an Addies Dive that is anywhere close to the quality related to the bracelet and that really impacts my desire to wear them. If they could really step up that part of the watch, I'd be very interested.

Wish the bezel was alu to be more in keeping with the vintage aesthetic and original. Ceramic looks too glossy and modern and makes the burgundy colour appear almost cloudy/milky.
I think they rushed the release of this. The bezel should be burgundy aluminium, and the dial printing should be gold rather than copper-brown. The printing looks too dark and hard to read. You can buy the 5-link jubilee bracelet and put it on some of their other pieces.
I'm for a white dial but I'm against the PT5000 and if they want to put a swiss movement in there for high beat that basically doubles the cost and I don't think it is worth it personally.
Some feedback on the video: please wear the watches! not a single wrist shot in the entire video... Also, should be wearing it in different lighting e.g. show how the watch looks on your wrist outside in natural light.
The last San Martin video I did included wrist shots, about 6.5K views and not a single affiliate purchase through my link. The watches were an out of pocket cost of about $480 plus my time (not including the lighting setup, cameras, tripods, large diaphragm microphone, recorder, a couple grand in audio plugins, etc). My time is limited, so if the affiliate buying goes up - I can invest more time in the production. Thanks for watching. And yes, I also prefer the red color of the Pagani bezel.

I picked up the red bezel and i dig it. For the price i paid it's a good deal.

I don't want aluminum but I do wish it was a matte finish like the 012G Pelagos homages I bought. Matte Ceramic is where it is at.
