So glad you made this video, hopefully it will bring awareness and people will pay attention and clean the temple and build gardens around it by volunteers. Why is that people in India don't preserve and protect their historical temples, architecture, buildings, its part of the culture, should be proud of their ancient heritage and act to preserve. Imagine how much money, effort and time it would take to build these days the same. Some locals should recruit volunteers.
This is my mother's native place...as kids, would go there during holidays and play in temple courtyard..havent visited the village in a long time.. thanks for rekindling fond memories..

I am stunned to notice the dedication that has been shown in picturising this temple. I could see an oldest temple so nicely. As you said, devotees are needed. Even the villagers can take care of the temple. Petty amounts may not suffice . Karnataka govt may take care of such heritage sites where sculpture is in abundance. They may be stolen and taken to other countries. What a marvellous temple!!! Prayed sadasiva to take care of himself from my home itself. So beautiful God and goddess, so badly neglected. Very painful and pinching. Any how, thanks a lot.

There are about 11,000 neglected temples in Karnataka alone according to Govt.'s data. All these can be managed and daily puja performed in them merely by freeing our 'active' temples from Govt. control. The Govt. takes away 80% of our offerings and gives them away to Churches and Madrasas and Masjid's. These donations rightfully belong to Hindus. A mass movement iss needed to change this law.
Initially almost south indian upper caste people were shaivaits. Worshiping shiva. After this 7th or 8th century gradually they transformed to vaishnavaits. Now maximum vishnu or srinivasa worshippers.
Madam, Thank you for posting this beautiful video of Sadashiva temple.The sculptures inside the temple are really marvelous. Dwarabalakas are indeed llifelike.The nandhi is exquisitely carved. Also the parvathy-parameswara on their vahana in front of the garpagriha is very beautiful . The beautiful ceiling designs are really awe inspiring. My eyes are with full of tears on knowing the present status of this beautiful temple. I hope of visiting this temple after lockdown. My sincere thanks once again. May lord sadashiva bless all.

@@girijaraikva thanks back in 2012 during my official training, we had been taken through Bengaluru to Halebidu, Belur and the Kabini reservoir, the nature reserve near it and a small island where also there is a beautiful temple. After visiting Mysuru we returned by bus through Srirangapatnam temple built probably by the Ganga dynasty. I had back in 2009/10 itself seen Beluru Halebidu n Somnathpura on a private visit. Lingayats are major community in Nuggehalli, but it's due to their apathy this temple is neglected. You can see Basavanna temple jnside the village which is maintained probably better. However, annual Siddeshwara and Mahadeshwara jatra are very well celebrated.
Mujarai department only go there if there is income. And loot the temple hundi. Why neggehalli panchayat do not take care of this beautiful temple at least.
There are inscriptions which clearly states when it was built and who has built etc.. Most of these ancient temples have documentation in the form of inscription.

Hello I'm from nuggehalli only. You have said everything correctly but at the middle of video you said that no one will visit here but you are wrong about that statement. For one year there will be having very grand festivals and functions. No neighbourers will go to temple daily,,..some like other people from other village like you visit.. Some festivals like theru and kalyanotsava etc minimum 1000 peoples will attend. It is the duty of swamiji to come and make pooja daily..
They might be doing yeay once special pooja. But look at the condition. There is no bulb.. no money to buy flowers, roof is leaking .. compared to Nuggehalli Narasimha temple this temple visibly appeares to be neglected

Again, you utter dwarpalaa instead of द्वारपाल, trishulaa instead of त्रिशुल, Lingas instead of लिन्ग! There is no need to add an 'a' to every vernacular word. We can just pronounce the words as they ought to. Since we are Indians we should not have difficulty in pronouncing them correctly I think you should really think about this.
Sir, you seem to be Hindi speaking North Indian and your pronunciation is ganesh, ram etc.. I deliberately use it ending with 'a' as that is the right way as per our epics. It is Mahabharata in sanskrit not Mahabharat. Similar way it is applicable to other words as well like Rama not Ram, it is krishna not Krishn

Again, you utter dwarpalaa instead of द्वारपाल, trishulaa instead of त्रिशुल, Lingas instead of लिन्ग! There is no need to add an 'a' to every vernacular word. We can just pronounce the words as they ought to. Since we are Indians we should not have difficulty in pronouncing them correctly I think you should really think about this.
Sir, you seem to be Hindi speaking North Indian and your pronunciation is ganesh, ram etc.. I deliberately use it ending with 'a' as that is the right way as per our epics. It is Mahabharata in sanskrit not Mahabharat. Similar way it is applicable to other words as well like Rama not Ram, it is krishna not Krishn
@@girijaraikva I understand but I was not referring to the Hindi North-Indian pronunciation, Ravikaji, but to the Sanskrit pronunciation. It is perfect to add 'a' (अ) [as in ago] but it is not proper to pronounce it by adding 'aa' [आ] as in after. I hope you are getting my point.
Your chanting, though, comes out very correctly. Please do think about it.

Ganesha is okay but why Ganeshaa (the extended aa)? I was actually drawing attention to theis extra extension.
