Great review of the races. I loved the one game we have so far played of Oathmark. I can’t wait for my opponent to finish some more units so we can play again

Thanks mate! I already mentioned it on your channel, but your Oathmark battle report is the best on RUclips. I practically have it on loop at the house.
This game has really grabbed me. Apparently this video didn't help my friend who is now struggling even more to settle on the race for his capital city. I think his indecision points to a really well designed game.

War Corgi very decent of you to say. I loved it, my issue is opponents as only Ken wanted to play it and he has been distracted by Napoleonics!

Potential solution: Tempt him with a Dragon!
I am pretty lucky here as I have at least three other people interested in the game. It will make the campaign a bit complicated but that should be a good thing for viewers.

Sounds like quite the interesting system. You already got me into legion so why not another system.

Exactly! We are having a lot of fun with this fantasy "Rank & Flank" miniatures game!

It was a mistake to put both Orcs and Goblins in the core book as they are two green skinned races that look similar per the book art. You're basically going to paint 2 green armies that look the same. At least Human minis would look different than Dwarves and even Elves, but Orcs and Goblins, not really. McCullough should have put beastmen or lizard folk instead of Goblins.

Thanks for the comment! Interesting and fair point, but I think the Orc and Goblin players with their hordes of models would have cried foul. As a miniature agnostic game, my friend Adam has decided to use his beastmen and beastlings as “counts as” Orcs and Goblins. I have even used my Skaven as goblins so the possibilities are endless. It is one of the many neat features of this game.

@@warcorgi3623 Yes, will have to proxy that as well. GW faced a similar problem if you recall, and made the goblins (or whatever they are called now in AoS) look very different and goofier compared to the Orks.I suspect those with hordes of miniatures of these two types will use them, instead of the North Star ones.

Personally I like the style. Very Tolkien and Middle Earth.

@@warcorgi3623 the artwork *mostly* looks good imo- but the artist seems to struggle with arms, hands, and weapons (especially the dwarves) imho. anyway:) just found your channel/ subbed - looking forward to the content

Should really say "fantasy Species", not "Races", unless dwarves, elves and goglins are Human as well - which I doubt.

Thanks Sebastien. I've been reading up on some of the literature about this. It is a difficult position for us, as "fantasy species" is not well understood but more accurate while "fantasy races" is clearer communication but has negative baggage attached to it.

@@warcorgi3623 They count as people, so races is accurate.
