The street tiles and cobblestones of Amsterdam’s historic canals were ripped out and thrown at police. Police were also assaulted with fireworks and corrosive chemicals. During the protests shown in this video the in-campus shops were looted, journalists were again assaulted and equipment like tv screens, coffee machines and fridges were smashed with sticks, bats and chairs. University property like computers in public study rooms were damaged with graffiti. The university had suspended all academic activities for the next two days as it says it cannot guarantee the safety of students and staff. But yeah, let’s show how the poor “peaceful protesters” were “attacked” by police.
