@@Iamandrewgoldberg You're so right. I really feel for Gary. The hobby just decided, "No", when it comes to him and its so hypocritical cause they talk about positivity. Gary seems for the time being to not letting it stop from buying & attending the national.
Not for nothing but the reason Gary gave for not attending the national last year is heartbreaking. The media and schools failed our children as it pertains to the level of fear versus the reality of the risk for kids. Glad to hear they'll be there this year!

People were in a overall time of reliving their childhood during covid. That changed everything to something we haven't seen before. The last dance came out and took all of that to ANOTHER LEVEL. Now the hobby is heading back to normal. We all need to stay involved for that childhood feeling we all get from the hobby. Don't let it go. You don't have to get rich. You can make money and you can do something that makes you happy. So many people are 100% or 0% find that median. It will all pan out then.
Great work boys! Now that stocks are down, people are investing in tangibles like cards. If people remain positive and treat others respectfully, this space will continue its gradual ascent.
What if this whole time Gary is just nuts. Nobody walked in the room to tell him nothing. He’s just nodding to the side confirming air and nodding to the door. Cage pretending he’s on the land line. Cold War flashbacks.
After watching this video I’m gonna stay true to what I have been feeling the last year or two...as a whole WE HAVE to stop shitting on different products sets. It’s the biggest issue in the hobby. The focus on print runs, the disliking of new sets, even the whole prices for newer players etc it’s literally the missing piece in the hobby. Also there is not enough of focus on these different sets. Everybody is so prizm, national treasures it’s insane yet I enjoy those products just as much as many other ones. Also people with video editing talent should reach out to different collectors and investors and see if their willing to combine to acknowledge a set that isn’t focused on. But again the dislike of many sets in the hobby? Trust me when I say that is the biggest issue. Bigger than any pop report, price tag, etc. This is also why one didn’t know to buy 2012-14 prizm because it wasn’t “ hot” at the time...well that’s proof right there
I like listning to gary.. but most of what he says is fluff… not any real information..like when he said if you get better at your craft you will succeed .. that is just words that have no actional meaning.. alot of what he says is like that.. no real actional information… and I’m not a person as he said in despair reacting out.. i’m very happy person enjoying life… I’m a early retired SW engineer that is very comfortable...
I agree, his answers are always in that classic seller way of talking, he just tells a story where he places key words that makes people FEEL good about the subject, but that doesn't teach or explain anything related to the actual question.
