I use these and find that the stitch line is barely noticeable and that is when you look for it. However, these will fog up when it rains. The caveat is that you can always remove them if they fog. Over all, I find them to be a much better solution than using the type of guard that fits over the entire top of the camera.
Yeah, exactly what I mentioned in the video. I think removing it when it rains is a fair compromise though, at least its way easier to manage than the sticky lens guards
No problem! Ive been using it for quite a few rides already. My only issue is rain but as I said you can just take off the protectors if needed (tho I just avoid using it in the rain) at least I wont have an irrational fear of randomly getting fog blobs in my footage
Thanks for a much needed good video on this sticky problem of insta 360 x3. However there is no information on RUclips whether camera will fit in properly in third party cages ( puluz, small rig) when this removable guard is attached. Do let know us if you have tried that. ❤
Thats what the side comparisons are in the video! its to see the difference in lens stitching. Personally I feel its great, the footage Ive gotten so far has v little stitching issues. As for video settings its 4K60 standard mode. I do not film in LOG
I have it, but the lense keeps on coming off even when it’s locked.. normally happens when i take the device out from the pouch. I think the lock switches to “unlock”. Almost lost it twice
Glad I could help! I've been using it for several months now, and my first set got scratched, so I just simply replaced it. So much less of a PITA compared to the old sticky lenses
Thank you for this video! How did you do that on the stitch line? I am currently using the sticky lens guard the stitch line looks awful 😢 I even have the lens protector ON in the settings. New subscriber here. 😊
@@EigenMoto I'll be using it during my next vacations to Thailand. I just wanted to check your video to be aware of any potential issue beforehand, but it seems like everything will be ok. A huge plus is that if in any scenario you are not happy with it (e.g rain) you can just remove it !

Hi what are your video export settings ? Thank you.
I export as 2160p at 60fps. usually dont do any other adjustments. I use AI stitching tho

Thats weird tho, that has not happened to me yet. How are you using your x3 at the moment?
Awesome review. I bought an hour ago cause I had a coupon lol. Looks like I made a good purchase. Thanks for sharing.

Great video!
I can't see the stitching. Is it that good?

Hey there! Thanks for subbing. What kind of footage were you recording? My settings are default with the lens protector mode on.
Having the same issue, did you find a solution?
Just got them as well let's see what happens 😊
Let me know your thoughts on it too!
