Hoka makes consumables. Cushion be dammed. Over 200 dollars for a shoe that is not built to last more than 300 miles (a figure I heard from multiple reps) is criminal. I'd rather spring for a good insole than feel like im walking in moonshoes for 2 weeks and then garbage.
I had the low version of the original Kaha GTX for over 2 years and wore them daily It has done far, far more than 300 miles (walking, no running) - it has to be thousands Soles are bare over most of the ball and heel area It's the first Hoka I've had were the heel liner has held up for a respectable time - which was my main gripe with Hoka for years I've had double Haglunds exostosis - hiking steep hills in high Meindl boots ... - I still need the cushioning
Couldn't find the old Kaha for a reasonable price, so I'm now using Kaha 2 Low GTX Very happy with them They're already beyond the claimed 300 miles, and are absolutely fine
@@AJ-cm2ny *He does use a bandsaw. The link to the full video is on the video lol 🤣🤣🤣! He always uses a bandsaw to cut every pair of shoes and boots in his videos lol 🤣🤣!*

300 miles is.. 10 days of hiking, if you are taking your time. But, it does sound right, with how that thing is constructed.

Why don’t you bandsaw the whole thing?
Could actually put a knife edge blade in the saw!!🤷
Bandsaw is a lot more likely to catch on fabric, so it's safer to have it cut the midsole/outsole rather than it all at once
@@mglikeabossplaysMC ohhhh ok. Thanks for the info! I didn’t know that.

@@JinsKookieJams read the other replies…. I was talking about the upper part of the shoe. I am well aware that bandsaws are being used….
Wouldn’t it be easier to cut through if you took the shoe laces out first?
I wouldn’t be surprised if these shoes really only cost $10-$20 to make in China.
Nice 👍🏾
