GGWP! Valorant Champions 2024 was a championship to remember! Congratulations to Edward Gaming for overcoming the demons of their past tournament results and winning the very 1st international trophy for China, the Champions trophy nonetheless. Commiserations for Heretics for being by the runner up for back to back international tournaments, but coming in 2nd twice in the global stage hints at a potential to win it all and perhaps they will in the future. This tournament was truly one to remember.
I was heavily rooting for them. I’m even a fan of benjy and have been since fnc era but idk i seen the vibe edg carried in playoffs and felt like i should risk the bet on them
As something to look forward to, these teams have so much more room to improve hence the competition will still be better. VCT right now is akin to competitive CS during its first 5 years. These two top teams are still making a lot of mistakes unthinkable in CS2 Pro. The future is bright
Idk how to explain it but these don't seem like the "top" 2 teams at all. DRX SEN also seem at the same level. And I saw some more intense games in playoffs, final was a bit dull compared to that.
