For my braces ties they do like a infinity symbol thing. Mine doesn’t go on like that…( just saying)
mine does too just do one side twist the tie and attach it on the other sides
i have the power chain too and it still hurts

@@cheesy5668 Because I was explaining that the way he demonstrated to put on those ties aren’t the way mine are attached. Mine aren’t like the one he demonstrated for the people that need that help. Not everyone’s ties are the same. I was just stating my case…
@@cheesy5668 they were saying what theirs looked like and that you don’t put it on like that. to get a better understanding look up a power chain for braces
I’ve always thought the coloured band were just there for the colour and for it to look a little better
Depends on what kind of braces you have…some need colored bands to keep the bracket and wire together while other braces (like mine) have a door-like bracket that opens and closes around the wire holding it in place making colors optional (except if you need a power chain)
Depends on the case. Mine have doors and I don't actually need the ties, but the color is fun. Some people definitely do need them though!

@@97AshleyRose with door brackets the only bands you end up needing are bands to align your jaw (if it is part of your treatment) but besides that colors are optional unless it’s powerchains. 🙃
Tip from someone who wore braces for 5 years.
Darker colors bands are stronger, especially black/blue.
You don't need tweezers lol. Just use your finger. Put the band on the top pegs and roll it bellow the bottom 2 until it snaps into place.
For canine brackets with the long peg put it on the long peg first and role to the other side, fingernails are important lol.
For parents, don't be a$$holes and don't make food your kids can't eat. Don't be like my parents and then blame me for costing them 20k because it took so long for the braces to come off. I was always breaking bands, but never broke a bracket (which is surprising)
Okay so a bracket broke off and when I called my orthodontist, they told me to leave it. That felt a little skeptical so I put some wax on top of it. My question is, if the bracket is broken, what will happen to that tooth? (The place that is broke is next to some crooked teeth so I'm scared if the rest of the teeth is moving but that one tooth, it may collide and possibly might end with that tooth being lost)
Edit: the bracket that broke is on one of the 4 front teeth)
Dude, your orthodontist will find a way to fix it. Don’t worry bro.

Do as they say and go in on appointment to get it fixed. Might tighten it too (2 birds 1 stone) If it is a concern genuinely then make an appointment for asap.
Teeth don't move in 1 day. It takes months to a few years without braces or anything similar.
OK I’m not an orthodontist at all but since your brackets broken just because your teeth are crowded and all your tooth won’t fall out because if you still had that bracket on it if your scared your tooth were gonna fall out it would fall out while you had braces on you understand what I’m trying to say so most likely I’m 99.999% sure that your tooth won’t fall out
My bracket broke off once, I had to wait for 5 days to get it replaced. In those 5 days my teeth moved a bit back to the original position causing a gap between two teeth ps it was sore. but don't worry your tooth won't fall off

I've never had braces so what do the color ties do
I think they help keep the wire in place and can help teeth move
It adds colors and the edges are pointy so its just like a protector
They never even offered them to me probably because they are using some experimental machine thingy to make my braces

Dark colors will make your teeth look whiter. Yellow, green, white colors like that will make your teeth look more yellow. I have done blues and black ( I am also lighter skin) hope this helps a bit. If you have another question like this you can ask me (I might not know the answer tho I help as much as I can tho)

my orthodontist said i might need braces in a year because i was a thumb sucker for a long time and im really scared but your videos sorta help me feel more prepared but i still get pretty scared
Braces don't hurt in the slightest. They do get uncomfortable when you first get them on and when you get bigger wires but they never really hurt unless you are doing something wrong
Braces hurt a little but I’m telling you the sooner you do it the better they’re annoying but the results are awesome

One time the ortho forgot to put on color ties all together, the brackets feel sharp without them

bruh i used tweezers to take those things out back when i had braces, then i took the wire out and then put the circle things back on and it was much more comfortable

I ligit wasnt asked if i wanted colours. On my 4th appointment I brought it up and then only did they ask if i wanted. Everyone else who went to them were given the colours right off the bat

when i had braces i used to do this... but i would take the bands off first then take out the wire to clean it and just pretend i didn’t have braces...😅
I did it with my fingers and didn’t tell my orthodontist but my teeth came out perfect.

My orthodontist make it hurt way more than necessary
One time they completely forgot to put a color tie on one of my brackets. But I did the wrong thing: I didn’t tell my ortho and I didn’t have one on that tooth for 2 months. I didn’t think color ties mattered that much to structure your braces but my ortho said I should’ve come in and got one put on. 🤷♀️
I have braces rn and so my orthodontist is opening space up in my top left side and in the middle of my 6 weeks my wire popped out of the back because it was too short but lucky I was able to get in the next day to fix it

We called the orthodontist and they said it wouldn't be a big deal plus I was gonna go in to the office in about 2 weeks from than so it worked out
