    You two are genuine people. The love, commitment and family values that you show attract like-minded people. Thank you for being examples of those things when the world is in such desperate need of them.

    John and Mareis, very interesting budget. Also, very interesting that subscribers are living there. Me, soon turning age 61. I am a widower. I entertain the thought of retirement there or long term stay in a peaceful place there. Thank you so much. GOD Speed in the Philippines 🇵🇭.

    While the monthly expenditure is interesting. It is a personal thing. Their are only two of us, living in Valencia. Our expenses would be about 1/8 to a 1/6 of yours. Our rent is Php15,000 and as we don’t need the air con our power would be a lot lower. We may see you at the Valencia markets this coming Sunday. Enjoy your weekend. Kiwi

    Traveling to the Philippines in an attempt to better get a feel of actual cost in a particular area or areas of the Philippines one is considering settling down in can get costly. However, it is a necessary cost as it allows one to run the numbers as if he or the family were living there mentality rather than on vacation. And with each visit you get more of a kind of a gauge as to if you are ready for the move, or perhaps need more time in the West to better prepare financially speaking.

    What a coincidence, i watched your $1000 monthly budget from more than 5 years ago, but you have it locked, for no one to comment on it, and then i come to this one from last month, and i see that, little has changed in regards to the one you did 5 year ago, she's right, if you are not a womanizer and a weekend drinker, you can certainly live with $1000 a month, as a single person, and don't forget at least $20,000 in emergency savings just in case, something stupid happens, while residing there!!

  • @mkellylive
    @mkellylive Год назад +1

    Your monthly expenses would be more helpful if they were complete. What about transportation expenses, education expenses, entertainment expenses, eating out, and food. I know some of these are variable depending on one's lifestyle but it would still be useful information to be included along with a brief description of how you spend your money on those expenses. Also, do you still have an on-call maid? What is that cost? What are the costs of all the improvements you keep doing to your apartment?

    • @TurquoiseSunsets
      @TurquoiseSunsets  Год назад

      Hi mkelly, we do still have an on call maid and an on call manicurist for the girls to get their nails done as needed. I have addressed the costs for the Lanai improvements in a past wrap up video on that subject; Total costs to date are now P 233,000 / $4,236. But to be honest with you we just don't have the patience to detail all the minutia expenses you're referring to which vary so much with the individuals habits and family size and other variables. Thanks for your comment. J&M

      @mkellylive Год назад +1

      Our family size and make up is similar to yours (wife and I, 9 year old daughter and 1 year old son). Was hoping to get a better feel for our expenses when we move there next summer.

    • @KrayPurn
      @KrayPurn Год назад

      @@mkellylive Not trying to tell you what to do. However, in order for you to really get that "feel for expenses" you seek will require you to perhaps spend 3 to 6 months actually living in the Philippines. I say that because you cannot really nail down a monthly cost average for your individual family's needs through online resources. Hope things work out for you with your move next summer...cheers 🍻🍻

    • @mkellylive
      @mkellylive Год назад +1

      @@KrayPurn if i Iive there for 3 to 6 months I dare say I will have more than a feel for my monthly expenses; by then I will know what they are. Waiting to live there first hardly does anything to help one's decision making before making the move.
