She's brilliant! I met her oh soooo many years ago (in the 70's) when she appeared in Threepenny Opera at Lincoln Center (a friend of mine was in the cast so I got to meet her at the Cast Party).
There’s a recording of “marry me a little” on her Christmas cd. Hard to find. What happened to her? I thought her performance at encores in 2015 would result in some broadway shows, Carnegie hall concert, or cabaret shows. She would have been better than Midler as dolly and cheneworth in 20th century.
I don't recall Ellen Greene's talking voice sounding at all strange when she played the teacher in the 1989 Christian Slater/Samantha Mathis, teen-rebel vehicle "Pump Up the Volume".
Do not take this the wrong way but does she have a speech impediment. just wondering. I lover her voice, I especially love birdhouse in your soul sung by Ellen and Kristen in pushing daisys? Is it?
This is incredible! Wow, I can't stop listening to this over and over again.

Wow....This is incredible!
Ellen can take you to places with her voice. i have missed that and this gem was a trip to a cabaret for me. Thank you!
Amazing talent!
A voice like your yours should be wrapped up in a gold box with silver glitter ✨ wrapping paper because it’s so amazing!
I loved her already before this, but this just takes it to a whole other level.
Thank you so incredibly much for posting these!
I really like this song.

@zisforzoo16
I think I read somewhere that she had a lisp as a kid.
