- Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are checking out Durfs new ice block which has little to no friction! And do to that, we made a car curling challenge! We have to build a car that we have to drive onto the ice from a runway, but as soon as we hit the ice our tires will have 0 grip, meaning we are just free sliding on the ice. So after two attempts per round, the closest cars to the circle get the most points!

Race using those "ice" blocks as wheels! Maybe something like a limit to thrusters for propulsion of course.
Wouldnt it be a good idea to retract the wheels after starting/ near the target, so that only the car touches the ice and not the wheels?

What if you built a really light vehicle that has a moving metal vlock inside? You could correct your position a bit after launch. A small offset to any direction.

Simple Idea to something with in MM: Ice Blocks + Drag reducer for massive distance slidy things
More complex Idea:
Ice + Drag reducer
Big Ice Platform surrounded by normal Blocks
in the ice platform there are holes where explosives sit so that they are even at the top with the platform so that a car can drive over it
each car get a needle thingy on a piston that points down in the middle of the car (that maybe has a cooldown of 3 - 5 seconds) and is activated via a button or similar
The goal would be to hit the explosives to make them blow up but not to hard so they need a few seconds before they blow up so you can get away before it explodes. And getting multiple explosives in a turn would be beneficial to win.
Points:
Hitting an explosive and *not* getting damaged = 2 points
Hitting an explosive and getting damaged = 1 point
Not hitting an explosive = 0 points
(Not reaching the other side of the ice platform = -1 points?)
- each take 1 turn for each round
1 turn is one slide across the field
- Players start on the grippy border and can freely decide from where on all 4 sides (if rectangular platform) they want to start to slide across the ice platform
- after each round the vehicle can be repaired if damaged and tweaked if wanted (engine/piston speed, perhaps other things too)
- Holes made by explosive on the field may or may not be repaired after each round or turn
I would suggest only repairing the holes without putting new explosives in after each round > each round there would be less explosive to make points out of and going last in a round would potentially make you have the most holes to avoid.
- field should be at least somewhat as wide and long as the curling field was long this episode
- big ice circle would be the best hut hige effort, an evenly sided rectangle will be fine.
- explosive may be randomly scattered placed in the field to prevent player using bombs as grippy bits to better control car in aim for another explosive
- watch out! The bombs must be placed in the field far enough from each other so there are no chain reactions
(- use ice block on the tip of the needle to not get caught on an explosive due to to much drag on the explosive's surface)

You could also simply use a downward facing spudgun with a shot cooldown (to prevent spamming)
But with a poke stick/needle there is the possibility to poke the explosive so hard that it explodes immediately which would make the task more challenging and perhaps more entertaining/interesting
random gravity race using thrusters cars and kinda planes that have to drive on ice and fly with drag reducer blocks
Pod racing....ON ICE! Drag a sled around on an arena built out of ice, 2 thrusters only, bonus points for using ropes mod instead of pipe pieces.
Idea for the full pack: A team build Baseball game. One of the team builds a ball thrower (pitcher), the other a bat. The pitcher gets 3 points if he launches the ball through a 32x32 hole protected by the batter of the other team. If he misses the batter gets 1 point. The Pitcher has 3 attempts. If the batter hits it and the ball lands beyond the field (but not on the sides): 3 points for the batter team. On the field: 2 points. Off the side 1 point for the pitcher team.

I really want to see that ice block used as skates on a walker, I think it'd be very entertaining.
U guys should do a “Massive Multiplayer Monday” with everyone that u have ever done multiplayer Monday with and maybe some of the viewers/subscribers.
This is the best idea I have ever seen on this channel
Multiplayer Monday idea: Rocket skijumps, like det olympic thing where they go down a big ramp and then try to get as far as possible. Limitations such as a set amount of thrusters could make it interesting, this makes it so that the design is what makes the winner. The ideas of how you could propel yourself further or higher upon takeoff I’ll leave up to you
I always enjoy these competition videos where everyone is involved together. Curling is one of those sports that's actually more enjoyable to watch than you think it might be.
For in a few weeks or so: Scrapcurling for real: Build machines that launch curling stones on a zero friction rink. With a real goal area, that is, different zones are worth different points. Everyone has 3 or 5 throws or so, every stone stays on the field and can be pushed by following throws. Who has the most points at the end wins.
For the next challenge you should race but you seat is on a barring and whenever you move forward the seat spins with an engine. For this race you must be on strict follow cam

Ice idea: you should set up an icy obstacle course, and build vehicles that can navigate through the course to the other side.
Another Idea: Vehicles that push a ball right in the air and have to catch it again - then throw again and so on. Whever gets the most catches in a row of 3 attempts wins.
How about air hockey using those ice blocks. Goal on each side, smaller board of course, then try to defend your goal. Might have to use thruster powered vehicles to move around on the ice to try and put a puck in the goal. Sounds cool in my head atleast lol.
for the next staying with ice theme ... maybe the best BobSled or a toboggan run, like a downhill race unpowerd!

If Scrapman hadn't added that free spinning handle atop of his vehicle he likely would have been able to go a lot straighter
You could have a royale mode, where you make snowmobiles or maybe even ski-people(?) and using thrusters you could go around and fight. Like the battle bot episode you guys did a while back, but on ice!

Multilayer Monday challenge idea inspired by something..... Build a sandwich delivering robot you have to collect and deliver as many sandwiches as possible in a set time
Multiplayermonday Idea: a race from one corner of a randomly generated map without a special curse to the oppesite corner, with a catch: your lowest block of the chassi of your car has to be 5 blocks above the lowset point of your wheels and your wheelbase has to be less than 17blocks wide and less than 33 blocks long

I would rather suggest normal planes but everyone will sit in another plane but remotly controling the own build plane.
The builder that makes his plane through the finish first wins (does not have to go through finish line with character)
You would have to make you plane "brake" when it is i front of you so the plane that you are sitting on can catch up so that you don't loose sight or control of your plane.
I would suggest to make that with cars to make it easier but i think they already did something like that?
