+MabasCommunications This was recorded straight from a live Periscope feed. You can broadcast on Periscope in Landscape but when you save the clip to export it flips it 90 degrees automatically. So, you end up trying to watch the video sideways unless you import it into editing software and rotate it back 90 degrees to correct it. Then export it again to take it to RUclips. So, I didn't have time to do all of that while at FDIC and just filmed it the way it is.

Yes. As long as the bottle is within hydrostatic test date we can fill steel, aluminum or composite.

Just got to use our new ScottSight masks in a basement fire; the system worked well, made the job faster, easier and safer. I am convinced they were money well spent. It does add a bit of weight but I did not notice it during the fire compared to my old mask. Just my opinion but I would not want to go back. Thx

whats the visibility like? can you see everything clearly?

    • @chrisroll4688

@@theodrake2394 to be honest, the in mask tic is NOT a full size hi res tic. It is a small screen, hands free, 24/7 help to interior operations. It gives you general situational awareness without tying up your hands. Try running a hose line and a hand held tic at the same time. If you want hi res or big screen I would look elsewhere. Just my opinion.

@@chrisroll4688 there don’t really seem to be any in mask high resolution tics around . Unless I suppose Scott upgrades the camera in that thing .

I see a lot of added weight to an already heavy mask, I see more obstructed field of vision, if you forget to hit both buttons it's useless to you, also added time masking up. It's a good idea but I think MSA's version where it's located in your hand held "pass". Minimal weight added, non added into the face piece, no extra batteries, minor increased length in hand held "pass". I think MSA's product is just superior to Scott's. With that being said the technology is amazing providing thermal imaging at the "fingertips" of the ff while freeing up hand and eliminating a large thermal is amazing. Enabling every ff to have thermal capabilities is amazing and can prevent you from getting into bad situations, yet I refer back to, nothing should surpass "old school" skills! Thanks for the Videos! Keep em coming

+Travis Katen Both of the systems are definitely ground breaking and you are definitely right that it will be a personal preference for which system is preferred. I really didn't think it weighed much more at all (4 ounces?) and I am not super concerned with an "obstructed" field of vision. Most of the time if my mask is on my vision is majorly obstructed by smoke or darkness so a small display doesn't bother me at all. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. If you are in real good smoke your image on the G1 would be obstructed but the image on the display inside the Scott Sight would not be obstructed since it is inside the mask. Just something to think about.

Travis Katen I don't notice the weight difference at all. It's a great tool.

Scott FRR gas mask is an off shoot from their GSR mask they designed for British military and it was one of the worst gas masks in modern British use. Scott GSR not only had design flaws like proprietary bulky filter canisters but worst was the mask had very poor quality control, had defects and holes in them. British MOD had Avon come to the rescue to address the problems with GSR gas mask. Scott at one point was making the original Millennium gas mask for US Navy and that was a debacle as well. The contract was transferred to MSA and they had to produce that flawed design until Avon won a contract and developed M50/FM53 series gas masks for the DOD.
