Also, no, Unturned is the _only_ game I play where I "have to" know what ports are, what an assumption. Everything else I play does multiplayer quite easily, like Minecraft, which can be done through LAN, or Terraria, which can be done through Steam. Hell, Garry's Mod is easier to do this stuff with, it's literally the same as starting a session by yourself, you just tick a couple boxes differently, effectively speaking. Phasmophobia, TF2, Castle Crashers, practically pick up and play. L4D2, Payday 2, The Forest, just hop in. Unturned is the only one that gives me issues like this, and the worst part is there's a method- for what I'm trying to do- that is _so much easier_ it baffles me that almost _nobody_ talks about it anymore. I almost want to do a tutorial myself just so people don't have to deal with what _I_ am, all to play with a couple friends for, like, an hour or so. Anyways back to "It's the same" real quick, no its not, "if not more automated and straightforward" Yeah, sure, let's say it is for the sake of discussion; it doesn't mean that the video doesn't mislead you a bit because it was made when the site was different. It doesn't work. It's the third tutorial, the third method I follow, everytime there is something different that prevents me from hosting a server. Yes all my ports are forwarded corretcly when needed Yes my firewall is setup not to obstruct the game I have been using three different methods step by step it's just not logical that it doesn't work at this point. It's supposed to be simple and logic but it feels like dark magic at this point !

@@OcOversee Then you will have to also go to the WorkshopDownloadConfig.json file. Then add the workshop codes needed for whichever map and/or mod you want inside the File_IDs list, with a comma between them. You can find the codes in the workshop itself on the url of the page I guess, else they also appear on an error msg in the terminal window, in case you set it to Hawaii without changing json file.
Just making sure, using this program will not open up any ports on my home router... I have overly cautious parents and the would want that knowledge. Thanks!
It does not change any settings on your router. The program tunnels packets from one of our public tunnel servers to your local machine so players can connect to your server.

In your U3DS folder, go to Servers, your server folder, and then Server, and open Commands.dat in notepad. Adding a line "mode [difficulty without brackets or quotes]" (example: mode Normal) will change the difficulty. Adding a line "cheats" will allow commands like /give and /vehicle to work.
Hello, the server doesn't seem to pop up when I look for it in the LAN Server list, I didn't think this was a big issue until I set up a tunnel and checked on the PlayIt Application to find it, only to see there was no tunnels going through. I watched the vid a solid 5 times only to get stuck at a dead end, any fixes?

Oh wait I fixed it. Your friend just has to copy the ip adress of the server on steam. Your friend cant do that because you have to send the ip adress to him

I downloaded Playit for Manjaro Linux. I tried to run it, but I don't know what to run it with. so I installed it off the AUR, but it still does not work. Are there any dependencies for playit? Downgrade your game by going to unturned, settings, properties, bets, then click the correct version

This worked for around 2-3 days for me, but recently the server has been not responding for friends. Only I've been able to connect to it.

the servers nice but command dont work like /give and /vehicle and one more thing how do you change the difficulty
