- Portal Snake Part 1 - portals and snakes are two of the most common puzzle elements outside of boxes and doors, yet this is the first game I've found that actually combines the two. It's a really interesting combination too, turns out there's a lot of depth even in the first levels!

Most game devs would be avoiding the diagonal and weird sizing things but this guy makes it the core mechanic
Never realize how much charm bad graphics can add to a well made puzzle game
Personally, I think they rather take away from the game. The artstyle is just plain ugly, if we're being honest, and it can actually kind of detract from the game's readability. It also makes the game look rather cheaply produced, which scares off potential players.

@@LJay205 You're completely in the right, having ms paint graphics instead of having 4k ultra hd graphics does make the game way worse, the 4k just fits the whole gameplay loop of scaling things and rotating them
@@Bogdan100pink That is just absolutely not what i'm saying. What I'm saying is that spending 5 minutes in paint to produce every asset of your game makes the game look like shit, which you would also agree on if you stopped lying to yourself.

13:40 is so cool because it's the golden ratio, the portals and snake's pathing fit perfectly with that concept and it is really satisfying to watch

Little bit of information, Vampire Survivors just released a new DLC, Adventures(a sort of story mode), 2 new non-dlc characters, and a new non-dlc weapon(Glass Fandego)

Hey Tyler, idk if you take suggestions, but there's this cute little 2D logic platformer game called Blackhole. It's got a bunch of worlds, each with their own mechanics and it's pretty challenging and fun. There's two major flaws to it, however (at least imo), and those are:
1) Story that kinda gets in the way, but you can mostly ignore it, I think + this annoying girl constantly talking to you
2) Some puzzles aren't that difficult to figure out (if you're going for 100%), they're just annoying to do.
Despite these flaws, though, it's still one of my fav games. I think it's very similar to Rayman, if you've played that. Anyway, if you want, feel free to give that game a try.
PS: Love your videos so much, I am one of those people who came for bloons content and stayed for you and your personality. The editing is superb, your explanations make sense and even when I don't get them, I just enjoy the ride. Hope you have a fantastic day and I hope people commenting can make your day a bit better, just like you make our days better :)
Unless there are reasons that you don't do this that I wouldn't know about not being a creator, it would be nice that music used in the vid is always put somewhere in the description or a link to a music list is provided in the description. I recognize this style of music so wanted to see if it was from dj okawari but I can't find anything about it in the description.
Also noticed the DJ Okawari similarities! But this song is from the game itself.

No problem. When I play games, I usually play with the music muted so it's easy to add after the fact. If it wasn't muted, I would've made a DJ Okawari comment in the video haha
