Are you sure Fash was the one doing commentary, because to my knowledge, he never did commentary for his version of "Gladiators". It must have been John Sachs, who was the regular commentator for British Gladiators, and was joined by Adamle for the first IG.
agree. the contenders have competed against their domestic Glads so they know how they play. plus Vulcan got replaced because of his little scuffle with S. Clay afterwards
BWAHAHAHA VULCAN JUST AWESOME! He knows how to entertain the crowd. I remember from so long ago in the australian series. He was a great challenger always gave that little extra, very strong and fast.
The matches involving USA competitors did, and was completely re-done using American music (during pre-event and not during event), and Mike Adamle doing all of the "in-booth" commentary on his own without Nitro. This was the same way for the IG1 semis and final.
i hope they bring the international series back now that everyones bringing it back in thier respective countires. especially of the hulkster is hosting lol.
Not only that, but they tried to make sure a gladiator from a different country was faced, because of alleged "easiness" during IG1, when Jet "let go" of Eunice on Hang Tough and Jazz "made the game closer" against Adrianne on Suspension Bridge. Vulcan was replaced because they couldn't have Aussie vs. Aussie.
It it just me, or do they replace the Glads from a specific country if a contender is from the same? I noticed with Peggy, they replaced Ice with Lightning, and with Andrew, they replaced Vulcan with Wolf.
i think they would cause the contenders with have a certain advantage with those gladiators. Plus country pride plays a part in it. They wouldn't put USA vs. USA
Tubewings, that was only shown in America. It differed from the original broadcast in England.
There was one exception. During the women's Hang Tough in the 1st semi, John Fashanu join Mike Adamle for commentary.

IG2 was eventually aired on ESPN Classic channel in the U.S., sans preliminary heat 3 (which, to my knowledge, did not have any American competitors).
Preliminary Heat 3 had American champion Pat Csizmazia. Heat 2 and Heat 4 didn't have any American contenders.

Janet Allen was a great contender in the domestic series but was injured in the internationals.

Did the International version come to American tv screens.

Was this after the Battle of the Best on US AG when Peggy went up against Adrienne Sullivan??
Yes
