The Nova Cat clan is a mystery to those outside of it's society. To other clans they are un-clan like in their attitudes to the merchant caste and the way they use ritual and spiritualism in their daily lives. That aside this makes them no less dangerous or successful. The Nova Cats can be credited with the advancement of clan weaponry with the ER series of lasers.
They are consumate fighters who adapt quickly to enemy tactics and use their forces equally when possible to achieve their goals. Despite their working alongside Smoke Jaguar in their invasion corridor, the two are not allies and the actions taken by both clans in the Kuritan invasion zone clearly show this.
I like the Nova Cats. They were total bros. Too bad they died fighting for a Kurita.

Very nice to see a lore video for Clan Nova Cat! This one (along with several of the other "lesser" Clans) don't often get much time in the spotlight. Great to see it!
+pariahdevalis I like reading about the lesser seen clans also. Diamond shark will be up soon and then I think I will just go alphabetically after that for the clans aren't dead by 3050. The dead clans will then be covered in a single video, excepty wolverine who will get their own video.

So basically it is one of the nicer clan and is ran by religion.
They are less aggressive than most but still hold clan values to heart which means they still engage in eugenics and hold freebirth people down.

+William Hawkins Is the word from another language? Swedish or scandanavian at least? Would be interesting to know where the sound is coming from when pronouncing it.
+Critical Rocket no, its how the boys at FASA pronouced it many many moons ago. as far as i know, IRL, its a place in Iraq. So it could come from there. But for the purpose of Mechwarrior, Took-ayy-id is correct.

I surprised you stopped there with this lorewarrior. Do you not consider the events after Tukayyid actual lore or perhaps you just don't have access to them. I always thought the Nova Cats joining the Draconis Combine because of a vision to be a rather special event in Battletech, especially since it resulted in the destruction of the Smoke Jaguar clan.
+Ishla Corrin Well I don't want the lorewarriors to go beyond the timeline of the game. If I start with post Tukkayid, where do I stop? And how long does an average lorewarrior suddenly have to last? I start with the early beginnings and run through to 310X? These videos would go on for a long time.
I do have access to all of the latest material, but as I said MWO is currently in something 3052/3 so I don't see the point of going to the Nova cat abjuration or their future absorbtion into the combine. If I were to go to the point of Battletech ending for me personally, it would be before the shitty dark age started. For me Battletech ended not long after operation Bulldog.
To be honest I agree with that myself. Around 3067 is where it ends for me as well. Anything beyond that seems stupid and far fetched even for Battletech.
+Ishla Corrin Yeah, the way the game span out became kind of cartoony and even the factions lose a lot of their character.
That was my major issue as well. The IS and even Clan factions had such a rich history and lore before 3075 or so... but then it was like they stopped using any of that because of the Jihard and ruined the entire galaxy. So many lost stories, so much lost potential.

That's the problem when you introduce a big bad like the clans, beat them and then have to come up with something even more deadly than the clans. The jihad was a bad idea overall. I understand the need to make books and models to make money but seriously they had plenty of untapped periods for new books like the amaris civil war, reunification war, early succession wars and more.
