Very cool Battle Armor Faker! I appreciate you showing the process, including what didn't work. I tried to make a custom Wun-Dar, and he looks good but is still sticky. I kind of gave up on customs until I saw this video, so thank you.

You could turn that newly painted faker you got there into a Leo Faker.
I've always assumed that painting that barrel would be a bad idea. I picked up a few fakers and battle armor skeletor's just so I can do this. But my idea was the first idea you had. Which is to paint the black part of the vest orange. And leave the purple alone so that I don't have to paint the action feature.
You could do black around it and then dye the barrel black

Right!! He’ll even then standard ones when they were just warming pegs!!!
Do you top coat the parts after you paint them with a satin or flat clear? That might help seal the decals and make it harder to peel off. Also, since the paint thickens the parts a little, you might want to sand the inside of the chest where the drum might scrap against. Just enough to negate that little bit of paint.

Saw your work on @Pixel-dan and I love what I see. I was thinking if you could paint the outlining pieces on the armor (where Skeletor’s armor is black) with the pink like the card art. I’m wanting to branch into some customs myself (I a GI Joe guy mainly, and have done several customs over the years), but I don’t know if I’m that brave. Check me out @oldskooltoyz . Have done toy reviews, but hope to share some repair ideas and customs soon.
