Man, Nissan has really stepped up there game in affordable, usable, luxury
thanks for commenting stay tuned as I have the unlocked of the 2022 coming soon!
Excellent review
Nice review! We've had success with both a Murano and a Pathfinder. It maybe old school but it's a good ride and both have been reliable. It's a good poeple kid hauler too. PS I hit the like button for you too.
Thanks so much Adam check out my Murano reviews on my channel. I appreciate the like and don't forget to subscribe

Another great review Thanks .
Thanks so much so glad you like it
Looks exactly like my 2017 pathfinder platinum midnight edition. Nothing has changed.
You are correct they haven't really changed anything
Nissan has way too many vehicles that look alike. Rogue sport, rogue, murano, pathfinder. Any could be mistaken for the other at a glance. Just boring in my opinion. This trend of making SUVs look like station wagons needs to end, in my opinion. Nissan has seen way better days.
Good Job on the review. Excellent convey of information
Glad it was helpful!
I know I’m in the minority, but I like all the buttons. Haha! This is a great review! Consistent with other reviews I’ve read. Nice to have a visual to go with the descriptions I’ve read about in other places. New subscriber here. Thanks! 😁
Thanks so much for the comments. More videos to come !!
Thank you for this video. I am pleased that I have so much in my vehicle. I didn't appreciate it at first because I paid a lot of money for all of this computer stuff. But seeing these videos allows me to see how expansive my vehicle's pallet actually is. I loved my Pathfinder prior to this video but now I adore it. Thank you.
wow such nice words thanks for watching! glad you enjoy the pathfinder
good video. Thanks
great video
Thanks so much for commenting
I agree the buttons are a bit redundant, however I do appreciate Nissan not going with other car companies and doing a full touch screen interface with no physical buttons. The entire infotainment interface needs to be revamped. Keep the volume knob and the tune/bass knob and air conditioning controls. But a lot of the other buttons are a bit repetitive and should be replaced with more useful buttons or a larger screen should utilize that space. Imagine how great the backup camera and 360 birds eye view would look on a larger screen.
Also some physical buttons are necessary and better because it gets difficult and distracting trying to adjust volume and climate controls while driving on a touch screen and a slightly bumpy road
Got a 15 with 88k on it. I've done rear brakes and a set of tires. No repairs yet. Been dependable for me so far.
Awesome so happy for you my mom has that same one
I love my Pathfinder 4WD SL
Exactly as it is 😍
I will not change anything .
Everybody has diferents pleasures
If you don't like it
Just don't buy it 🤷♀️😂😂😂😂😂
Simple as that .
that's a fair way to put it for sure cant argue with you there
Can't wait for the redesigning in 2021 for the rogue, and the pathfinder!
Once it's out I'll be sure to review it for you

@@zigzag00 thanks so much for all your support
@@carsunlocked Yea no problem!
The interior on the Pathfinder including the screen is really antiquated
Hopefully there is a massive redesign in 2021 that would help the Nissan industry.
it's coming soon my friend
Quite a nice review actually. Maybe work on the audio quality and lighting condition.
Hey thanks for you comments my friend glad you enjoyed it
Thanks,. it figures. There is "hesitation" upon takeoff (and no issue with the car), which can get me killed if I have to get across (gunning it) in a hurry to avoid a collision. I was noping that there was a fix to this.
I have a 2013 nissan pathfinder sv I'm actually really liking this thing so far i just got it recently only has 88560miles on it so far
Hey congrats on ur purchase great choice mate
@@carsunlocked I only chose it because one It was in my budget and two someone told me nissan is very reliable. I had a 2006 honda pilot with 256,000 plus miles on it when I traded it in.
@@armageddon3244 wow that's a lot of miles
@@carsunlocked yeah it was alot I wanted another Honda but they are expensive so I just went with the next best thing
@@armageddon3244 great choice brother congrats
I got 2020 pathfinder s, I think a lot of bad reviews from people even without driving it making this car reasonable priced for economical and practical buyers. I don’t see anything bad about it. Yes honda and toyotas are better but costly
great point s here congrats on your new vehicle
Nothing much has changed since 2013 .i was hoping to see a total redesign and some updated technology and interior but it remains the same .i hope they will redesign everything in the next 1-2 years time .for the time being let’s stick with the 2013 path
Same my mom has a 2019 Platinum SAME EXACT THING!!
Just an overgrown rogue. Pure lazy engineering
Yikxy my Mom has the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
Enrique That’s what I used to think about the Pathfinder, but I can tell you that’s not true

How much is the car you showed in the video?
Great review👌😉 but the car needs a redesign 👉🚘
Cool 😎😎
thanks for the comment timothy
You don't like all the buttons, but while I'm driving I can't use the touchscreen but I can slide my right hand up a little and control the temp and other switches.
PS: being a geek I like a lot of buttons.
Why can you slide your finger across the touch screen ?
Bumps in the road....my hand keeps hopping around on the screen; also, keeping my eye's on the road, is safer and the feel of switches just feels better to me.
PS: I'm 62 and old school, I like grabbing onto things.
@@bobjtshirts yea I figure you were a bit older than me and you definitely make some good points . Just too many buttons might cause even more distractions
I know this second row two-LCDs comes in the tri-zone entertainment system which is something you add on over the Platinum trim. How much does this tri-zone entertainment system cost to add-on?
well you can just added it at anytime it was an add on when you purchase it new
try adjusting the buttons when driving my Camry is totaled so i have the pathfinder. the pathfinder is confusing
That's what I meant
Renault merges with Nissan in 2000 quality has went down as well
Solid interior and iihs top safety pick.
How can o program the rear view mirror to open the garage door?
great question I actually made a whole tutorial video about this ruclips.net/video/R5cKNRvJzp8/видео.html
Here is another funny thing. In the settings there is an item called TURN DISPLAY OFF the value for this parameter is greyed out ON. If you press ON display shuts down.
All the cars that I saw in the past, even 2015 model has the same parameter which is very clear. It says DISPLAY and tow options ON and OFF. One of them is in green another on is greyed out. I do not know what the rear sensor does. So far it is working only if you switch to revers. If someone is tailgating me it does not make any sounds. Another thing is that 2020 Nissan transmit everything to Nissan. What about the privacy, how I can be sure that it does not record or transmit my conversations.
If you connect your phone to your car all your contacts, calls, texts can be transmitted to Nissan. There is no way to turn it off. Even if you turn off the screen it is still does. At least that is what I was told by Nissan.
If you want to get Pathfinder 2020, request drive test in the model you are planning to buy or lease. Also request the person who will explain and show you all the features.
Do not rely on fact that you liked your previous Pathfinder. For example Pathfinder SV 2015 had power lift-gate. 2020 SV Tech which is supposedly has more tech features does not have it and no one will mention this until you ask yourself. (my neighbour experience). My mistake was that I assumed that newer model will be better than my previous one.
I do this every test drive I am surprised your sales guy didn't go over this with you
@@carsunlocked
My guy was sitting in the car and browsed his phone or text messages.
Woulda talked but the worlds tripping it’s hella scary out there in the shadows lol sometimes ya can’t look
Sure???
The touch screen is unsafe to use while driving, because if touchscreen is not accurate and so sensitive if you don’t look at it. But buttons is more safe without having to keep looking down, you can just feel what button to press.
I agreed with what you said but still you so not need that many buttons
Hi my question is from what series from Nissan pathfinder are best or fancy?
Well this is the top model so it would definitely
I mean there's SL, LX, PLATINUM among other but I don't know what to pick because I'm interested in buying a pathfinder for Christmas
@@bandasmendez2491 platinum is the most fancy sv has the most value if you can do without the bells and whistles
People saying 2020 and 2017 look the same...... thats literally 3 years be patient it will have a new design
NVM
No your absolutely correct
the TriZone entertainment isn’t standard. it’s an available package with the Platinum, but is NOT standard.
Maybe where your located here there's only one platinum package
Hmmm, why no mention about the spare tire, jack, etc? Also, no mention about economy mode which can help avoid hesitation across streets putting on in peril. 8-)
there is no economy mode
Then, WHAT can be done to fix the start-from-stop hesitation upon acceleration? Is there an adjustment? Is it there to save gas by government intervention? Would they have someone killed trying to cross the highway?
Physical buttons will always be better than using a screen for everything in my opinion but the buttons need to look GOOD.
good point
I always felt buttons are more safer when driving
yes but a lot of the buttons have duplicate functions so its tough for me
Do all platinum Nissan comes WITH a video scream
yes it does
Maybe increase the size of the screen and make buttons smaller
stay tuned for the 2022 PAthfinder coming soon
@@carsunlocked yes
@@carsunlocked when do you expect
can the cameras record
No
because if you know what the buttons and knobs do, you don't have to take your eyes off the road to fiddle fkc with the screen controls
That's a good point but some of these buttons have multiple functions and are duplicate function s
@@carsunlocked I think we need to go back to pre-electronics dashboards. Safety first.
I think it also has to do with inventory. They probably have tons of these parts in stock to keep the price down. Why redesign the interior when you already paid for those parts. And it's true what you said about buttons and knobs. We're no in the autonomous age yet.
@@noahswarz4914 yea I don't think they wanna change it because they already have everything streamlined and change will require them to start over
What’s the best car in this segment?
I do like the new telluride but it's a matter of opinion
Cars Unlocked i would agree, but isn’t it a bit bigger than these cars? I earlier meant, cars being the same size as pathfinder, like highlander or outlander etc.
@@Mabdul1ah yes a tad bigger but same segment . Palasad is nice too
I thought the Infiniti QX60 2020 was abit too outdated and then I saw the pathfinder in my opinion the pathfinder looks even more outdated then the qx60
Yea for sure it does definitely needs a re haul
I'm currently renting a brand new 2020 Pathfinder SL 4x4 (Picked it up with only 5 miles on it). While the ride is nice, and its fairly comfortable, the Infotainment system is very 2011ish. The Navigation System is not smooth..as you are driving, the map is not flowing smoothly, as navigation systems did from about 2008 - 2012 era. There is no Pandora App (unless you download them and install, but system will not let me since its a rental), and there is no Apple Carplay or Android Auto, which for a 2020 vehicle, there is no excuse for. I can't imagine Nissan selling a lot of these Pathfinders, as they are simply not competitive. I really would not recommend a 2020 Pathfinder to anyone looking to buy or lease a new vehicle. It's merely okay as a short term airport rental car, but that's about it.
Hey great comments and I definitely agree with you. Pretty sure 2021 going to see an update
This is no Pathfinder , it’s an insult to call this a Pathfinder, it would be an okay vehicle if it was named Nissan Transit.
it is not like that pathfinders of old thats for sure
Best pathfinder who’s finished 2014 now is like luxury suv road no 4x4 off road
What Nissan did to their SUV's should be a sin. This is what they did after getting rid of the xterra is trashing the pathfinder? It looks like a small crossover. Suprisingly the interior looks way more spacious.
They didn't do terrible. The interior has a ton of room
Console looks like a 1977 Pioneer stereo receiver
Ohhh yes as I said it needs updating
Is this car good for someone who is 5 ft 5 inch. Please tell??
Yes my mother has one and she's super short
@@carsunlocked well thank you for the reply. I have been reluctant to buy an SUV always. Just needed an expert advice. Thanks.

I was considering looking at this car when my Sentra’s lease expired, but that outdated infotainment system had me like “nope”
Stay tuned for the next model
So disappointing looks just like the 2013 model no over haul on the dash and interior.
I Am Looking At A 2020 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum And Am Unsure About What To Pay For A Vehicle That Is New, But Also Probably 18 Months Old. I Like The Car And The MSRP Is Right About 47 Grand And They Are Willing To Give Me 4 Grand. I Am An Elderly Vet From The Philly Area And Hoping That You Would Be So Kind As To Help The Old Boy Out.
Hi Christian the discount s will very depending on how you are paying if you pay cash you should get a substantial discount
@@carsunlocked Thank You So Very Much For Taking The Time To Gat Back To Me. I Will Be Paying Cash And I Also Am Seeing Videos Of The New 2022 Model; Which I Am Assuming Will Be Released In The Near Future. I Like This 2020 Nissan, But I Just Do Not Think That 3 Thousand Dollar Incentive/Credit Off is Enough For A Car That Will Be Now 2 Years Old Very Very Shortly. If You Have Any Further Advice I Would Appreciate It; But Thank You So Very Much Again For The Reply!
The camera that he mentioned in the beginning does not work when it is heavy rain or snow. I actually complained about this to the dealership and I was told that it is normal. I like the drive, the space, gas consumption (much better than Toyota). Overall exterior design is not bad. It is save. The bad thing is all the so called Tech Upgrades. If you carefully look at the 8" monitor it clearly says that it is open source software. The monitor is basically useless except of the rear parking assistant.
The lights for the blind spots are useless. When you drive on a sunny day the sun is in your car and it makes the blind spots light become hard to see. I tested how it works. I turned on left blinker when another car was driving in parallel. It gave me two very hard to hear beeps and the light. When you look to the left for blind spot that light is destructing. When it is sunny the light is not visible. The dash board screen is so small that it is hard to see anything. You need to spend about a second to get any information by looking on sensor, mileage, temperature etc. This is my second Pathfinder and I am really disappointed with internal design and so called technology.
My previous 2015 had nicer screens. I am not a big fan of touch screen. It is the same as you are driving and texting. The navigation system is a big joke our days when you have google maps or other navigation systems. Besides it is still 2019 maps (at least in Canada). If you want to update navigation system two years down the road you need to pay. Apparently they will have some kind of redesigned model in 2021 or 2022. I will probably be looking for something else.
pretty disappointing that the pathfinder has let you down, however after reading your comments I completely understand

the square shape lights were much better looking than these now it doesn't look like pathfinder it more looks like Rogue
In the 12 models ??
The 2017 and 2020 Nissan Pathfinder are exactly the same. Nothing changed.
Ur right they didn't change anything
Isn't that what Nissan is known for? They maintain the same body style with options for many years. That is how Nissan stats cheaper than the competition.
I love Nissan but they are so lazy on designing lately. My 16 looks almost identical besides headlights and a few interior things. Still hate the pushbutton being the only option.
You would rather not have a push button?
33 mpgs? Isn't it more like 26 mpg highway?:20 city

Did Nissan replace the cheap azz plastic parts that break in the sun visors and the door handles. I've had the replace all the door handles a couple times now and visors.
Hard to say what year is your pathfinder
Legit hasn’t changed since 2017. Interior and infotainment hasn’t changed since 2013. CVT....oh boy.

I Should Have Said They Are Offering 4 Grand For My Car.
great vehicle but...... I was about to buy a Rock Creek edition last month and put it off to wait for the 2020.....hoping for a technology upgrade....I have and love a 2017 Maxima.....which has Apple Carplay....the 2019 Pathfinder does not have it. How can they not put it in the 2020? makes no sense. Looked at all of the Infiniti models also as I have had 3 Infinitis...they dont have it in any model...what the hell is Nissan thinking? Last week I rented a Hyundai Elantra($12 k car) on vacation and it had better tech. was hoping to buy one next spring...but I don’t know....it is a fine car but tired, dated, and short on tech. Has the same confusing overdone control center that is in every Infiniti and my Maxima
Well said definitely needs an update here could get rid of half the controls with a simple touch screen
@@muhammadhayat4217 well there is no point in upgrading as the cars as are the exact same and Nissan needs to make a change to compete with the telluride and palasad
muhammad hayat ...correct on all points. I looked at the Hyundai Palisade and the Subaru Ascent and both offer a lot more for less money. I will wait until the spring because rumor has it that Nissan is introducing a hybrid Pathfinder with all kinds of mid year upgrades and Infiniti is doing the same! I have owned many Nissans and Infinitis and have had a great experience. My current 2017 Maxima is an awesome vehicle.....driving it to Florida in the winter and will make a decision next spring.
