    I knew about all of these but the Manilla mint. Now I want a coin from there! Great job on the presentation. A bunch of facts I didn't know about with each one. Keep the good stuff coming Christian.

    Thanks for uploading this. I find the history of the US Mints fascinating. I'd love to find a book on the subject.
    I have to say that West Point really does let the side down architecturally!

    After learning that the first US mint opend 1792 - what kind of coins were used before? Did they continue using british coins?

      Yes! The predominant forms of currency were British and Spanish - we banned foreign coins as late as 1857. Back then it was about silver and gold content. We also had colonial copper coins for small change.

    14:20 and here we are in 2021 and those coins are not made in Carson City their made in Philadelphia
