He is probably the most handsome man I have ever seen, yet has a sad brooding quality that is mesmerizing. Haunting photos... and the music is so appropriate..thank you!
This is a very fitting tribute to Valentino. He was handsome, charismatic, energetic, kinetic, sexy, generous, kind and giving; and a lover of children. What individual in Hollywood today can claim all of that and more? There will never be another Valentino and that is all good. He was like a flare, bursting with passion and fire and then gone. That is the sad part of his life. He did not live long, but perhaps that is what makes him live on eternally. Perhaps it was just meant to be that way, even though many do not accept that. R.I.P. Rudy. You will never be forgotten; you have too many fans.
Thanks for sharing. Great tribute. He was beautiful. I heard him sing last year on TCM when it was his Birthday. He had a very nice voice. Im sure the talkies would have accepted him. It was so sad that he left so soon. Hes a legend. Love you Rudolph.
I just finished reading a old book called valentino, then found this video. What a era. I love old movie history and this is my favorite from the 20s. He was something else.
My grandmother danced with Valentino at a ball hosted I believe at claridges in London in the early 1920s , she told me that he was a very good dancer and was very light on his feet. He was star struck with my grandmother who was a famous society beauty in her own right. After he returned to America he wrote to her asking her to join him and also enclosing an autographed photo. My grandmother died in 1996. The autographed photo still remains in her old box of jewels to this day , the letter however has got lost into the mists of time.
He started out as a taxi-dancer. The kind that Tina Turner sings about in Private Dancer. That autograph should be worth a lot, btw. You should take it out of the jewelry box and have it secured, in acid-free plastic sleeve.
That story needs to be included in one of the biographies written about him. He was definitely in London circa August 1923 while married to NR and briefly late 1925 for the premiere of The Eagle while waiting for his divorce
Wonderful photos for a wonderful star. I started to read about Valentino, saw some pictures. But had very lately the chance to see him perform on films. What a great actor, so masculine and so tender in the same time. What great charm. And he could do everything, act, dance, fight, love... Brilliant. I wish he were alive today...

@TheLadyMalfoy PT. 4 All relationships RV persued after NR were with women and he began a well known love affair with Pola Negri. I just saw the movie Valentino and the actor they got to play him did this man no justice as far as looks go. Their is no comparison, now I know their is no comparison anyway because we are talking about one of the most beautiful beings to ever exist but they at least could have tried to hit the nail on the head instead of completely missing.
Well, i am a woman, so naturally i will have a female perspective. But, trying to put his looks aside, i will say this. He has a lot of screen charisma and charm. I think he displays a combination of vunerability and strength. Rudy actually had a lot of male friends. He got along with most people. In reality, he was humble and wanting approval. On screen he is not too macho that he is unapproachable, yet macho enough to make you want more of him. He's very manly. I'd like to meet him one day.
the most beautiful pictures of my first love in film. He was exquisite. I love the soundtrack you chose. it fits him. thanx. ps..the only inconvenience is that the pictures don't flow fluently which makes it a bit hard to watch, but otherwise fantastic
he was gorgeous i wish i could capture my melcholiness in cinemas and love a man likE this.I loved him but he wasn't real,my other great aunt married him in a past life but he was a handsomest count in the world backin the 18 century and in this life in the 192o's only a bar soap and ivory bubblebath which is made in Norway.
Yes. Rudy took great offense to the "pink powder puff" remark and challenged the newspaper writer to a boxing match which the writer failed to show up. But, Rudy boxed another man in the writer's place and Rudy won the match.
Wonderful work you have done here, Keitel! Mmmm... mmmm....mmmm... woof! Rudy, you can haunt me anytime!!! I'm fascinated as I can be! Such a shame you left this world too soon. I came along too late. Way too late! Downright ruggedly handsome, 24-karat style. The meltdown has begun. Let me sweat here awhile. I'm falling....

The Moon's Flute
I just saw the movie Valentino and the actor they got to play him did this man no justice as far as looks go. Their is no comparison, now I know their is no comparison anyway because we are talking about one of the most beautiful beings to ever exist but they at least could have tried to hit the nail on the head instead of completely missing.
the music is perfect
Well, i am a woman, so naturally i will have a female perspective. But, trying to put his looks aside, i will say this. He has a lot of screen charisma and charm. I think he displays a combination of vunerability and strength. Rudy actually had a lot of male friends. He got along with most people. In reality, he was humble and wanting approval. On screen he is not too macho that he is unapproachable, yet macho enough to make you want more of him. He's very manly. I'd like to meet him one day.
Bellissimo di una bellezza eterna 333
One of the most elegant tributes I have ever seen...lovely.
Thank you very much
I love this video, its one the best and one of my favorite ones. excellent music choice.
after 100yrs,he still can attract lady, what a guy he is? who can do that?
can tom cruise or brad pitt can do that? i dont think so...
The photo of the young boy was actually Valentino’s nephew, Jean not Rudolph
Correct.... it's his nephew
You've made a terrific tribute to Rudy! ♥ Great job.
Such magnetisumn!
I Live 50 meters away from his home in Taranto :)
quel homme magnifique....rudolph pour toujours ...
the most beautiful pictures of my first love in film.
I love you, Rudolph Valentino!!
Yes. Rudy took great offense to the "pink powder puff" remark and challenged the newspaper writer to a boxing match which the writer failed to show up. But, Rudy boxed another man in the writer's place and Rudy won the match.
I promptly died at 0:20 He was a handsome man...
Bernard Herrman the composer of this music also composed the famous 'stabbing' music in Hitchcock's 'Psycho'
