When upgrading the castle on the Ethereal Workshop island, the Bass sound was lost. I edited this video to include audio from all 12 monsters and Bass Castle.

Well Pentumbra is giving Auglur and Vhenshun competition for my favorite monster on the island and Xrt is giving Nitebear competition for the worst. But I'd say Pentumbra outweighs the downside of Xrt. 8/10

I love how the sad quad jumps a bit when the shadow appears suddenly it's kinda cute

They just needed to get a way to make a monster look alive without making it take up too much space, and jumping is perfect for that
It looks to me that original verses of the song are now fully complete. Next wave should definitely get the awaited Whaill verse added.
I feel like the Crystal quad will go somewhere in the ending verse or near the ending verse
They’re still so empty though. It’s definitely nowhere near complete.

For those who write that Pentumbra has the sounds of other monsters. The description says that the shadow is from another world, prefers to take the sounds of other monsters. I hope it helped

I think whaill’s unused track will be in the final wave with the quint.
Pentumbra reminds of mimic, it replicates sounds rather than making its own.

though mimic replicates a verse in his own way and only vocalists, Pentumbra completely replicates other monsters sounds as its own voice, and both are quads which is really cool

It really get on my nerves when people overanticipated this wave so badly and are let down when both great new monsters imo dont have a huge crazy effect on the song or play the whole time. I really hope this doesn't happen again in June with wave 5

I think most of the reason everyone was so impatient this time is for some reason most of them expected it during eggstravaganza
I mean all I did was wait wasn’t that hard to do I was just like oh alright when it didn’t appear in eggstravaganza
Then they complain Pentumbra plays too much and X'rt not enough and it's too quiet. I think both monsters make wonderful additions to EW and that this wave was just as good as some of the others

X’rt definitely sounds odd when out of context, but in the song he actually compliments the monsters he plays with very well

@tenebroise6633 they got spoiled with Vhenshun last wave and just expect every monster to play the whole song and be this crazy instrumentalist or vocal legend. I think all of the fanmade stuff really hypes people up but then they see the actual waves and get disappointed their fan hopes didn't all come true
I love what Pentumbra adds to Auglur and Piplash's part, even if it's a very little piece. I already loved how Auglur and Piplash sounded together but Pentumbra's little imitation of Jeeode really tied it together.
I don’t care about what others say, this wave is pretty decent, Pentumbra added more choir to yooreks part and I really liked that, and X’rt is slightly better than nitebear since he plays a part twice

Pentumbra is one of the coolest concepts for a monster, honestly reminds me of mimic, with the way it mimics some monsters sounds

This wave is interesting cause the start feel complete but the rest is still lacking, but that just makes me more excited for the next 4 to fill the middle and end. I lowkey hated X’rt at first but if you play it on loop it actually fits in more at the start

X'rt is a funny name for a cool and creepy monster, I love him... But it sound is quite off like Mr door stopper from wave 3 ( I could remember it's name so I just calll them a door stopper cuz... Am I wrong)

im glad they added a monster to harmonies with yooreek tbh it took them long enough
i think the biggest issue is how they barely play any noticeable moments by themselves, instead just overlapping with other tracks and becoming an incoherent mess at times
meanwhile, other times that feel like they NEEDED more monsters didnt get shit, like 0:30 or 0:44
To be fair he does play in the second half of those tracks, making him very easy to hear
I am absolutely in love with shadow-caster axolotl in the middle. The design is very pretty and I adore the samples of ethereal island it seems to be using. Ah 🥺

Funny how GhostTympa's prediction for the Crystal Quad pretty much came in the form of the shadow quad. God I love this island, it's so wacky.
Idc what abyone thinks, Pentumbra slays and I love its lore. It's the Ethereal Mimic due to its nature as the shadow quad, playing into the fact that it "shadows" other monsters' sounds (see also: its bio-I also LOVE the Ethereal Island Jeeode reference!!), and I love its sound. The choir additions are wonderful. It fills out its spots nicely and I have faith that other monsters will come in to fill up the spots that it didn't.
Also I think X'rt is cute. Musically it's kinda mid for me but I wanna give it a hug because I already have brain fog, what's a little more? Lol.
Anyway, no, the monsters you get more than likely (like almost certainly) aren't going to be the fanmade predictions, they aren't always going to be what you want, and when they're not the final additions to an unfinished song, they're not gonna make it sound 100% complete because it's _not_ yet. Not saying these factors mean you can't dislike the song but I think some MSM enjoyers forget these things...it kinda makes me glad that I don't consume fan monster content. 😅

Fun fact: you can hear Jeeod and Yoreek in Pentumbra's track. I would assume they can hear each other as they enhabbit the same colossal , or mabe Vhenshun told Pentumbra. Either way I don't think it's a coincidence that Ethereal Island Jeeod was choosen specifically.
