The keyboard bookcase for the S8+ is the exact same size as for the S7+. This is handy to know in case you can't find one for the S8+. Also, make sure you buy the keyboard bookcase with the track pad that comes in two pieces. It has a higher quality than the other one that is being sold and costs about the same (as of me writing this). With the two piece one you can separate the keyboard from the tablet to have a nicer tablet experience.
I have tab s7+ and at first it seemed to unwieldy for tablet mode. I even returned it. But I bought it again and after a few days, I'm used to the size and weight and use it as a laptop and tablet for watching media and reading. I'm not a muscular guy and again the size and weight is fine now. Best tablet I ever owned.

@@valismind I can’t argue performance wise that it’s stronger but you get decent performance with this tablet but maybe only the ultra model has the highest ram maybe? I know if you emulate game systems this would be a better bet. Apple devices are getting harder and harder to do that on even tho the iPad has more single core for emulation

I'll be strictly using either the 12.9 or the S8+ for watching films indoors at night. I'm leaning toward the S8+ even tho I'm big into the Apple ecosystem. I think the screen is better and I tend to watch all films with subtitles and think the AMOLED will be better with no blooming. I also prefer the shape of the S8+ as opposed to the square shape of the 12.9 iPad.
@@yamahapilot display on the S8+ is very nice, but the brightness on the mini LED more than makes up for the blooming (which, if I’m being honest there is very little of). It’s more-so down to the fact that Samsung/ and android tablets in general are so far away from having good and native app support. Some apps don’t work in full screen, and if they do it’s just not very intuitive. Dex is cool, but it’s also just something I didn’t find myself using - it felt like a workaround, vs it being a polished experience. I think if you’re going to spend the money, get the iPad it will last much longer & your apps will work better and every other device you own will just have good feature parity. Also, the iPad is incredibly fast, whether you need it or not & the battery life is pretty damn good.
The accessories are also more widely abalone for the iPad, the keyboard with trackpad is from the Tab S7 and it’s not available in most stores anymore so you’d have to buy one second hand.

If you drop it it most likely will come off, the magnet isn't THAT strong, ahah. BUT it may break the fall of the tablet given the large size of the pen.
Many don't even know and lose a word about the ram plus option. You might get up to 8gb of additional virtual ram on this machine. It's in the settings.

That's why I like the new Samsung tablets, having Dex bridges the gap between needing a laptop/ and a tablet and allows you to have something super portable but very capable. I would do it from my phone, but it gets a little more complicated with having displays, etc.

I have mac computers but and Android phone. I'm torn in my choice of a tablet. I'd really prefer to get a Samsung tablet but there are times when I need to access my pages documents (I'd also like access to my apple photo gallery and contacts). But one can't log into icloud from an android device! I sort of wonder if a surface pro might be the "middle ground" device. Sadly, its easier to access Google apps from an apple device than it is to access apple apps from an android device.

You can't go wrong with either. I chose the S8+ as I love the screen and the system is overall much more customizable than that of an iPad. The webcam placement and its higher quality was also important for me as I do Zoom meetings and Apple has no excuse for keeping their webcam on the short side giving others the impression that you're looking off in a skewed direction. Samsung DEX is also a nice feature making the tablet work more like a laptop.

It's great that the pen doesn't come off when you shake the tablet but what if you drop you it?

Mine went out twice too and the first time was only about a month and the second about 4 months later so I just sold it.

I don't think so. The cable with the s22 ultra is only a 3A cable too. You need a 5 Ampere cable. But it's with the Samsung fast charger.
As far as I know, it does. But they don't supply 45W adapter or for that matter any adapter with it.
